Does The CW not love Supernatural ?
By fred | January 9, 2008
As you may have heard already, The CW recently joined in the little game that all networks are playing these days, which consist of changing their schedule over & over, using the strike as an excuse to “experiment” and never get a final schedule that people can look up to. Like it wasn’t bad enough that most shows are out and that they don’t even work to end the strike soon, they also want to get us confuse so we can miss the latest few fresh episodes when they’ll air them since we won’t know they aired them…
Anyways, my point is this : The CW had tweaked their schedule, moved a few things around, andĀ for starterĀ they plain and simple removed Supernatural from the new schedule !! That’s right, the show was no where to be seen, despite the fact that they still have four more episodes left that were completed before the strike. No, don’t panic, no cancellation in the air, but still that wasn’t really nice for all fans of the show, and the show is good and has got lots of fans.
Then, because angry Superfans started to email The CW and let them know what they thought, they finally announced that the show would come back, and new episodes would indeed air, in fact, sooner than you may have thought. Now the question is, do they want people to watch them ?
Because of the strike, maybe networks will be filled with crap, reruns, and some more crap. But there’s still a few new things to come, and probably the most waited of all is the return of the half-season of Lost. Well, guess what ?
Yes, new episodes of Supernatural will be facing the new half-season of Lost on ABC, starting, of course, January 31st - when Lost returns.
Really, I get it, I’m all for competition and all, but there’s no doubt in my mind that this is quite a bad choice, because only die-hard fans will go for Supernatural, most will be watching Lost, possibly even recording it as well. And in those times of strike, I’m sure there had to be a better time to put the last fresh episodes of this show, to try and make its audience actually grow…
Anyways, here’s what’s planned (for now) :
Thursday, January 31, at 9.00 : (S03E09) Malleus Maleficarum
Thursday, February 7, at 9.00 : (S03E10) Dream A Little Dream Of Me
Thursday, February 14, at 9.00 : (S03E11) Jus In Bello
Thursday, February 21, at 9.00 : (S03E12) Mystery Spot
And while I’m at it, here’s the new schedule for The CW :
Mondays
8.00 - Gossip Girl (January 28)
Tuesdays
8.00 - Reaper (January 15)
9.00 - One Tree Hill
Thursdays
8.00 - Smallville

What is the matter with CW?? They have a great show on thie hands but tey don’t seem to see it
I mean really?
The CW is a stupid ass network. Airing stupid shows like ‘one tree hill’ which consists of nothing but pointless drama and what the hell is ‘crowned’? it’s a show about a bunch of whores being whores and getting into cat fights, which makes the women’s movement go back about 25 years, thanks for that. If they were going to cancel a show CANCEL THAT ONE. Supernatural has been so mistreated on the CW, no promotion or anything like that. I LOVE SUPERNATURAL and i KNOW millions of others do. So why the hell take that one off? Supernatural has humor, brotherly love and a GOOD story line. People fall in love with that show the second they watch it. If supernatural wasn’t on the CW i wouldn’t even stop on that channel.
Yeah, Supernatural is a realy good show, one of the best - if not the best - on The CW.
I really can’t understand why they treat it like that, just like when there were rumors of its cancellation last year… sometimes it’s impressive how networks can be completely out of it.
As for Crowned, which I never even bother to look at, I’m sure it’s only still on the air because of the strike… Not that it makes things any better.
Umm…
your kidding me right?
You guys canceled supernatural…
That just might be the most idiotic thing you’ve ever done, and you’ve done some pretty stupid stuff..
You are really going to regret doing that buddy… Crowned? What you guys must have been high with your signed to that!
supernatural unlike many other shows, has… dare i say COMPASSION, INTELLIGENCE, FAMILY&FRIEND BOND, THRILL AND LOVE…
and you guys i guess are just to blind to see it…
Good luck with your new shows! :)
You’ll need it..
Michelle:
No, don’t worry the show has not been cancelled… Once the episodes mentioned above will have aired, the show will be off because no other episode was completed before the strike. But Supernatural should be back once the strike is over, whenever that may be…
This stupid CW has not supported SN since the beginning, putting it against top rated crap like that gays and some other thing…
Here in the U.K it has a higher promotion it seems. Alas i guess thats what happens when there are so many channels and competition.
This world is all about money not quality. SN has been the best thing that dumb teen channel has turned out. I wish some crazy billionare fan would buy it and leave all those execs behind!!!
I plan to by all my fave shows if i can in the future. lol
yeah in my dreams but hey
oh just noticed GRAYS not gays! sorry
CW u suck bitches
