Diana Farr replacement found on Numb3rs
By fred | July 9, 2008
It was announced earlier this year, that Diana Farr wouldn’t be returning on Numb3rs next season. As I said then, this does suck because I liked her character, and after Peter MacNicol went away for a while due to some unfortunate 24 events, now that we could finally have the romance between Larry and Megan back… she’s gone.
But what can do do, c’est la vie! I was just hoping that, when it comes to finding a replacement, producers wouldn’t forget what made the show great in the first place, and that is that it wasn’t just another cop show, it wasn’t all about cops, FBI, or even (traditional) investigations… Not sure they remembered though, because they’re adding even more cops on.
First off, Aya Sumika (Special Agent Liz Warner and, of course, mandatory love interest for Don…) has been promoted to series regular for next season after been recurring character for some time, but that’s only the first addition. For its fifth season the show will also have yet another new series regular, and yes, it’s also a cop.
Sophina Brown, previously seen on Shark, has been casted as Nikki Donat, the ex-LAPD officer described as a full-blown adrenaline junkie whose gritty street perspective makes her a great foil for her boss, who joined the FBI as a junior agent in search of a “bigger and badder” challenge.
I’m personally not really excited about either of those news, but next season on Fridays at 10.00 I’ll be watching the fantastic show that is Life on NBC anyways; you?
