David E. Kelley brings a new legal series to NBC

There was once plenty of legal dramas all around, and a few of them had no other than Kelley behind the wheel. These days however the genre has become rarer, and the last representative of the genre on broadcast network is Boston Legal, now in its last season on ABC.
But next season might see another series taking over. After a 22-year relationship with 20th Century Fox, David E. Kelley recently signed a new deal with Warner Bros, and under this deal has created a new series for which NBC made a series commitment already, continuing the “successful” trend of pilot-less series order the Peacock seems so fond of — they’d much rather commit and then simply go over a few showrunners as was the case with My Own Worst Enemy or The Philanthropist. Not that this should be needed, Kelley having quite a few successes behind him (Doogie Howser, Ally McBeal, The Practice, …).
The new and still untitled series should be an hour-long dramedy (more of the comedy side) focusing on a father and his daughter, both lawyers of course.
