The O.C. - The Complete Series Collection
The O.C. was more than a TV show, it was one of those series that captured perfectly its time and they way teens felt at the time. Filled with pop references, geeks turning cool, gorgeous girls in bikini, and one poor kid thrown in the middle of the richest families of the area, the show had a unique voice that really made it look like no other teen series, and had a generation responding to its compelling stories boosted with a hip music selection where many cool (and not always known at the time) bands coming on the show, as Newport Beach became the hot place to be.
Especially during its first season, the show was captivating, and while it had the usual setup of a teen show on one hand, The O.C. was different because it wasn’t just aimed at teenagers but also their parents, as the parents on the show also had prominent roles, making it the time of the week two generations of people would come together to follow the latest adventures of Ryan, Seth, Marissa, Summer, but also Sandy, Kirsten, Julie, or Caleb.
You can now head back from Chino to Newport Beach and revisit all 92 episodes with this 28 discs set, including lots of extras : the first season remastered and presented in widescreen for the first time, hours and hours of commentaries, deleted scenes, gag reels, but also documentaries about the casting, the location, the music, the magic of Chrismukkah or how the delicious Rachel Bilson turn Summer Roberts into a full character that survived her best-friend…
