CBS renews 11 series, How I Met Your Mother NOT one of them !!?

By fred | February 15, 2008

CBSSeriously, WTF!??

CBS announced that it is already renewing 11 series for a new season, 9 dramas and 2 comedies. There’s some old ones you knew would be renewed, and one freshman that got a second season, but more importantly is that there is some huge problem with that list : some series aren’t on there, like no other that the great sitcom How I Met Your Mother !!

No, it does NOT mean it’s been canceled, just that it hasn’t yet been renewed, but still, WTF!? It’s one of the best sitcoms out there, it’s great, it’s funny, it’s just awesome, and there’s no question that it has to come back for more !

List of renewed series below.

The dramas that got renewed are :

- Cold Case (season 6)
- Criminal Minds (season 4)
- CSI (season 9)
- CSI: Miami (season 7)
- CSI: New-York  (season 5)
- Ghost Whisperer (season 4)
- NCIS (season 6)
- Numb3rs (season 5)
- Without A Trace (season 7)

Meaning that series such as The Unit, Shark, or freshmen Moonlight and Cane are still on the spot. That later one will probably be caned though…

The comedies that got renewed are :

- The Big Bang Theory (season 2)
- Two And A Half Men (season 6)

Once again, How I Met Your Mother is not listed, but neither are Rules Of Engagement, New Adventures Of Old Christine or freshman Welcome To The Captain. Since CBS usually has 4 comedies on Mondays, that might mean that some of them may not be coming back. Or, if CBS launches a new comedy and puts two midseason, one has to go.

I know CBS isn’t particularly known to love HIMYM, but it better come back, because this show really is awesome and deserves a lot more love & recognition that it gets. True story.

Plus, let’s not forget how unfunny and lame Welcome To The Captain is…
