Casting additions for CSI: New-York

Shows love to have new cast additions, this season is no exception as we’ve seen already with a bunch of shows.
And the saga continues with CSI: NY for which two newcomers have been announced, both will be recurring. Strangely though, one of them migh not look unfamiliar to fans of the show…
First we have Kerr Smith, seen this season on the Fox’s great but sadly short-lived drama Justice. He will play a character who’s an expert in forged documents. Or, more precisely, one who “pretends to be an expert in forged documents“, as corrects executive producer Pam Veasey.
“He has a mysterious background that we are slowly developing. He’s a love interest [for Stella] who has an ulterior motive.” Oh boy, I hope he’s a serial killer who forged his way into the police department to get back at Stella…
Meanwhile, Bess Wohl will play a new lab tech and a good friend of Adam’s. Oddly enough, Wohl actually already appeared on the first season of the show (S01E15), but as a different character.
You know what, if there’s something I hate it’s when they do that : have the same actor play different characters on the same show. I wonder how people would feel if they had Caruso appear on CSI: NY, but not as Horatio Caine….
