Buzz for new shows to come this fall…

By fred | August 9, 2007

According to a TV Dailies poll of no less than 3,100 people, the highest rated new show for this fall, in terms of viewers buzz, awareness and intent to watch, are NBC’s Bionic Woman, which makes sense because, well, it’s a new Bionic Woman, and because they had a lot of press by hiring gay haters and shit unrelated to the show itself ; and - shockingly - ABC’s Cavemen.

Now this one I can’t really figure out why, it’s the worst piece of crap ever, I saw the pilot and it was nothing but TV clichés and racial stereotypes, it was insulting and, well, not just not funny, but “unfunny“. It’s an insult to everything and everyone, and to put it on the air is a retarded move, I still hope ABC will realize this and not go through with it.
(Besides, if they do, they won’t keep it on the air very long anyways… Save everyone the trouble, please)

Actually, among the 18 to 49 crowd, Bionic Woman wins for most awareness and intent to watch, while ABC crap tops in buzz. I guess behind the buzz hides all the disgusted comments made by anyone who got to watch the first pilot, while many still haven’t really and are hoping for something.

Placing third in awareness and buzz was Kid Nation, and Kitchen Nightmares in intent to watch.

The most talked about and critically acclaimed Pushing Daisies came in fourth in awareness and buzz, and I really have to see it I guess, while Grey’s spin-off Private Practice was fourth in intent to watch, which I don’t understand. Well, Grey’s Anatomy is a hit, so it makes sense I guess, to all the show’s fans.
