Another day of strike, another video…

Here is yet another video from one of the striking writers, and once again it is some pretty funny thing. This time it comes to us from Samantha Who?’s writer Bob Kushell, who’s commenting on a few things, mainly how the strike can affect writers’ marriage.
Done with the assistance of the show’s lead Christina Applegate, this little video is really great and pretty hilarious. It really is. As a matter of fact, I find it to be much better and funnier than the sitcom itself is. Really.
One of the thing required in order to make great comedy in not simply to create funny situations or have funny lines to say, it is also to make it look so natural and God damn easy. And while on Samantha Who? they’re not really there, this time they nailed it ! It’s all very smooth, and Applegate doesn’t look so tense and under unbearable pressure like she does as Samantha, because here she doesn’t have the whole show on her shoulders, not everything in about and must come from one single character only.
This time, it doesn’t feel like they’re trying so hard it hurts, this time it looks natural, easy, and it is simply funny. If you like Samantha Who? you’ll probably like this video, if you hate it you’ll like it as well, and even if you never watch the show, you’ll find that video funny I think.
