After celebrating Christmas in late January, House will have his Superbowl in May…

Time isn’t just weird on the Island, it also seems that there’s an hospital where things don’t really happen when you expect them to. First, it was Christmas. Like with may series, there was a Christmas-themed episode of House this season, but due to the writers’ strike and some weird scheduling at Fox, we didn’t get to see the episode until late January.
Soon after that came the Superbowl, and you may have heard that a special episode of House was originally planned to air on that special Sunday. It was supposed to be a two-parter, with as usual the first part to air after the game, and the next part on the show’s usual timeslot, Tuesdays at 9.00 But then again, writers’ strike, and no such episode could be done.
Instead, we had another “classic” one-hour episode. Not that I’m complaining, though, because it was another pretty awesome episode and it even had Mira Sorvino as a guest, so nothing to complain about.
Still, that two-part special has not just been forgotten by writers, and now that the strike is over and that the show will be back into production and to our screens next month, adding four more episodes to this season, turns out that among them will be no other than the Superbowl special !
Obviously tweaked, the episode will be back and, according to show creator David Shore, it will now be used as season finale. The production team of House has not come across any big problems resuming the show, though schedules had to be adjusted in order to accommodate some of the actors who signed up for big screen projects during the WGA strike.
New episodes of House will begin airing on a new day, so watch out for America’s favorite doctor on Mondays now, starting April 28 at 9.00 on Fox.
