ABC Schedule

By fred | July 26, 2007

And here we go with the latest of all schedules, the one from ABC.

As usual, some tidbit of info and the full schedule after the jump…

* President McPherson said about Lost finale that it really “opened up a new world” for the show. Yes it did, I still don’t believe for one second though that we’ll see more flash-forwards, even less that the show will now feature those instead of flash-backs. No way it can be done without revealing too much on what’s going on on the Island, and that’s the main story.

* McPherson said that Lost heads “pitched us where they’re going this year, and where they’re going the next two years“. Oh yeah, well I know who Jacob is, so take that!

* Still the same guy told that “running the episodes straight through [this coming season] is really the best way to do that… [It'll be a] much better, full-enclosed installment“. Wow, incredible! One of them actually got it right, hard to believe. To bad they couldn’t figure out this obvious thing use their brains, and 24’s example.
Oh wait, they don’t got no brains, and 24 is on Fox so they thought it probably was stupid, because they’re ABC!

* Spoiler about Lost has been revealed, it’s really not hard to find so I will stay spoiler-free here.

* So wait, when will Lost premiere again??? Oh right, not until February 2008 !! “Damn it!”

* You heard about Cavemen ? Me too, that is was stupid, filled with racial stereotypes, annoying and mostly, non funny at all. Probably why they’re basically “shooting a new pilot“. Yet something tells me this show is going to suck and leave the air after 2 or 3 episodes only…

* Cavewoman are to be introduced during episode 5. Arg, too bad, we’ll never see them!

* McPherson said he was aware that fans did not liked the way things went on last season of Grey’s Anatomy, and let escape that this season won’t be the same. I wonder if that means better, or worst.

* ABC describes The Pushing Daisies as a “forensic fairy tale“. It’s a blend of romance, crime procedural and high-concept fantasy in a forensic fairytale about Ned, a young man who can touch dead things to bring them back to life briefly. He makes good use of his gift, working with an investigator to solver murder cases by asking the deceased to name their killers. He and his childhood sweetheart would have a perfect life, only if she hadn’t died and been brought back to life by Ted, who can now never touches her again, or else she’ll go back to being dead, with no way to be back.

* The Pushing Daisies might sound cheesy, but critics loved it.

* Series creator Bryan Fuller says it was originally conceived as a spin-off of Dead Like Me.

* Dirty Sexy Money Panel is described as as another great new show, with a great casting, including on-screen Peter Krause, Donald Sutherland, Billy Baldwin, Jill Clayburgh and Samaire Armstrong, and on the other side Greg Berlanti (Everwood), Josh Reims (Felicity, Everwood) and Craig Wright (Six Feet Under).
