What happened to Entourage??

By fred | September 5, 2007

(S04E12) EntourageSo episode 12 of Entourage aired Sunday on HBO, and while I believe it might not be the season finale, I mean the season order was for 20 episodes wasn’t it? Just like last season, we have a “mid-season finale” now, and the season will come back and ends with its “real” finale in about a year… followed right away by the first half of season 5.

Isn’t that what’s gonna happen? I mean, this cannot be the finale for this season, it just can’t — It sucked.

Don’t get me wrong, I love Entourage and I enjoyed watching the whole season, despite some episode much less good than others. And not everything that occur this episode was a bad thing - think Drama.

The plot with Drama finally being recognized as a TV hero, a great and famous actor all girls love and want to sleep with, no less! This trip in Paris was his, for sure. Turtle had a good time in his own too, but that was definitely Drama’s moment of fame.

Yet, he was still the same good old Johnny Drama. He finally got the girl, he’s a in room with her, all she wants is him, all they need is the bed right there… but no, Johnny can’t stand the view, and he doesn’t like the room. Too small. He’s freaking Johnny Drama FFS.
So he leaves her there, waiting, and goes yell out at the manager only to get banned out of the hotel. This was just awesome, and couldn’t have gone any other way, not with Drama.

Sadly, the same cannot be said about little bro’ Vince. So they got to Cannes, and… and Medellin sucked. Wow, big surprise! I mean we only knew since ever since the season started. As soon as E got out of the room, seeing the movie for the very first time, as soon as we saw the look on his face, and heard him say it sucked ; we knew it did.

Because E is always right about this. The whole time, ever since Entourage started, he never got it wrong. Maybe he’s new to this, maybe he doesn’t know how everything works behind the scenes, but one thing for sure is that give him a script to read or a movie to watch, and he’ll tell you if it’s a hit or a miss.

Medellin wasn’t a hit. He told us so, he told Vince so, and Ari too. And that’s quite a huge “I told you so” there. But the problem is, unless you were as delusional as Walsh or had some blind confidence into Walsh, you knew it too. Not like them, like Eric. As episodes went by we were only reinforced into believing, into knowing that the movie sucked.
