Weeds: Shit Highway

(S03E04) I was one week late, so I started by watching this “old” episode first. So I watched it, and here’s a quick review of it before I dive into the latest episode in date.
Last time I talked about changes, and how it was great to see a show were some would actually take place. Funny thing this time, we had yet another change, but it wasn’t one like the others.
The main reason of this, is that it took a changed situation back into its original pace. After weeks of watching Celia be the boss, Doug is now back in charge — thanks to a pretty cool and funny political move.
I could be pissed about this, that a change didn’t last, but I am not. Hell no! Many reasons for this, for one Celia wasn’t quite good at her job, neither funny or entertaining that much. And watching Doug sit in the back making remarks isn’t good enough. And, he was always brilliant in those, every one of his meetings were always damn funny, can’t wait for some more!
Speaking of changes that should be undone. What the fuck is that whole army shitty subplot piece of crap!?? I just can’t stand it, it sucks. It worse than that actually. It does not serve any point really, doesn’t belong in the show ; Andy used to be a funny character great for comic relief, and now he’s used to deliver arguments about USA politics and crap associated.
“we’re the best, we’re USA, we’re so cool! - no we’re egocentric assholes!” Talk about poor dialogs & shitty writing.
And again, is there anything at all behind this mess? What was the point of having retarded gay moron killed by some rocket?? Sure as hell neither this or them showing their asses was funny, and now what? Being a deserter will help Andy found his way back? I think not. For being as irresponsible and not obeying orders he could be sent to jail I’d say… is he leaving the show or did they (writers) lose it completely?
The only way I could like it to see go : he runs aways back to Zooey Deschanel’s character. I would forgive them for all that crap, should it go that way. But it won’t, so I have to hate them as much as I can, I see no other way to deal with this.
Back on the show.
Nancy got herself a “real” job! Good thing, and she might have to deal with, or against, Doug, which can only be good. The most funny part in all this is that she is so out of touch with the reality of life, she didn’t even realize what having a “real” job meant, she had to have her kid to tell her!
But that was temporary only. Because while she might have had a little glimpse of the past, when she was “scary” and had a great easy life dealing drugs, now things are most definitely different.
Now, she has a real job, but at the same time she has to deal with being U-Turn’s bitch, all this in front of the eyes of the DEA. That can only lead to pretty interesting, confused, mixed stories that should be good, I hope. You know how they could be great? If they had another character to add into the mix, like a family member that could be around and help, or try to, and act as a comedy relief.
Too bad they sent him to Army camp…
Keeping up with the changes though, Silas is now involved, as he wanted, in the drug business. Might be dangerous, but I’m sure h eloves it. And, it only seems fair, since in a way he started this whole mess (without him stealing the drugs, things would have been very different!)
Nancy might “say” she doesn’t want that, but she also realizes she has to let him do it, because she has no other way out of this mess. She’s completely out of control, will she be able to get it back, or some at least ?
