Traveler: Reunion

By fred | July 14, 2007

Traveler(S01E07) Traveler is one of those new shows we got to see this season, but that sadly, due to some stupid network “decisions”, we will never get to see & enjoy as we should have.

But at least, unlike so many others who simply got taken off the air like say, DayBreak, to stay on the same network, at least with Traveler we get to see all episodes.
Sure, writers had to rework on the two last episodes when they learned there wouldn’t be, as originally planned, 5 more to follow. But at least they could write a closure to the show, and we’ll get to see it.

And so here we go, with the seventh episode, first of the two last that got rewritten in order to close the story sooner. As such, we could have expected some kind of acceleration in the rhythm of the show and how things move on.

And it did happened. Not in a 24 kinda way, people didn’t start shooting their guns all around, there hasn’t been no explosion, but things moved on. Don’t mean things were only pure action without one second to rest for one guys.

Even though it kinda started that way, as we got back right were we left last time : Tyler being chased by the FBI guys and running around in the street on New-York trying to escape them.
TravelerIn the mean time, we had Will, not in any kind of rush but very calmly asking a few questions, leaving the guy standing on his car, a rope around his neck.

It was great to see Will get his way back to those we killed his girl, and I really liked how he did not kill Maya’s killer, until that idiot added some stupid comment, and got Maya’s name wrong. Then Will just turned around and shot him. Awesome. At first Will may have look like some innocent college student, but he’s now grown into a more Jack Bauer-esque character, who get things done his way and isn’t afraid of torturing or killing if required.
Only he doesn’t get the President on the phone to ask permission.

But as things went down with Will, both Tyler and Jay took some time to relax, each in the arms of a pretty girl. Jay find a clever way to get in contact with Kim, who escaped her FBI surveillance without any trouble, while Tyler got stupid.
