The Office: Customer Survey

(S05E06) There’s no doubt in my mind that The Office is bringing his A game and delivering one awesome episode after the other. I might not always be happy about what I see happening, like last week when we had to see Holly go, but there’s no question that the episodes are great, hilarious, and all relationships of the show are evolving, whether it’s in way you like or not.
Now that, sadly, Michael is single again, that leaves us with two main relationships, two couples both engaged to get married, though not both of them are showing signs of happiness and excitement over said coming wedding. But what this episode showed us also, is that there was a third player in both case, someone who could be a game changer in the future of both relationship : Dwight Schrute.
There’s something very wrong with what’s happening between Angela, Andy… and Dwight. She was recently clear to Dwight that things were over between them, that she picked Andy, and she’s shown genuine signs of affection for him, appeared to be touched by his commitment and determination to please her and oblige to all her demands. Yet, this week, she forced him to turn to Dwight.
And he couldn’t have been happier about it, clearly selling himself – and not his farm – to Angela – and not the engaged couple. When Dwight told Andy the wedding was out of his hands, he meant that literally, the fate of their weeding is in Dwight’s hands. Dwight is taking over, and will probably try to create the perfect wedding for Angela, because he wants to be up there with her on that day. If not, he’ll probably ruin the whole thing and make sure she can’t get married, not under his watch, not on his land.
Angela was smiling back, she seems ready to… what, exactly? Does she plan on having sex with Dwight on last time before saying yes to Andy ? Is her very religious self considering going into adultery while she’s not even married yet !? Or is she willing to switch Andy for Dwight at the last minute ? This whole thing seems to keep happening only to keep happening, but I fail to see where this is all going, or what Angela is really looking for… but I hope writers have a clue.
Dwight also stole Jim from his gorgeous fiancĂ©e, as we got to see something incredible this week : Dwight & Jim actually teaming up, for real. When both reviews came out quite negative, it was a shock — especially considering those are the two tops salesmen of the Scranton branch. Of course, in pure Dwight-more, it could only mean one thing for Dwight : this was a conspiracy against him.
But then, this one time, it just happened to be true! In exactly what you’d expect from Kelly, she got pissed that neither of them showed up at her America’s Got Talent party, and decided to write them reviews, expressing how she felt about them. It’s way out of line, especially when you know those reviews are very important as they’re used to calculate bonuses, and yet Kelly only got a good laugh as punishment. Of course, what else would you expect from a Michael Scott who himself had the discomfort of throwing parties people didn’t show up ?
The alliance between Jim & Dwight was pretty awesome, and it was nice to see Jim really trying to reach to Dwight, like telling him this time he was right about the whole conspiracy. Even better was the 8-hour long phone call between Jim & Pam, which while not a prank at all still allowed for Jim to make fun of Dwight a lot.
