Prison Break: S.O.B.

(S04E19) Ever since the show came back after that long hiatus, it really feels like a brand new season. No more A-Team trying to steal Scylla from the General and bring the Company down, now we’re in the middle of even ore family drama. But as we’re diving more into this whole mess and see recent events being unfold, there’s only one thing that comes to my mind, and it’s nothing good.
Maybe it’s me, but I’m not enjoying this recent episodes, it almost feels like the writers don’t really know where to go from now on, what to do with all those characters, and so we only revisit old plots and trying to make it all about family drama, somehow.
First we had the mother to be really alive and here, then Sara got pregnant herself, and now Christina is playing the worse cliché card ever, saying that Linc & Michael aren’t really brothers. Now let me say, that’s just pure crap. For one, I don’t know how Michael didn’t punch her in the face when she started to be all judgmental and shit, criticizing Linc for the way he took care of Michael, while the only thing she was able to do was to disappear — and later on try to have them killed of course (because make no mistake, the Company tried to have them both killed at some point).
And again, might be me, but the entire premise of the show - for those who do remember when this used to be about breaking out of prison wand whatnot – was about the brotherhood. It was Michael and Linc and that bound they shared, it was Michael loving his brother so much that if he was going to be killed by the government for a crime he didn’t do, Michael would use all his genius to break him out.
And after that, after all they went through, after the childhood they shared in which they supported each other, at this point who gives a crap whether or not they share DNA, those two love each others, they are brothers, and that’s it. This whole thing to add more family drama was just plain bad (could be worse though, Michael could tell Linc about it).
Other than that, we’re doing it all over again: frame Linc (and Michael, both standing there like idiots) for a crime they didn’t commit. And the cops wouldn’t see nothing, it had to be Linc, because he left the security camera see him and then conveniently let the gun to be found, of course. It’s like they didn’t get the memo, that there won’t be another season, so they’re leading up to season five when Linc has been arrested and Michael gets himself some brand new blueprint-inspired tattoos so he can get him out, again.
Meanwhile, T-Bag is of course kissing the General’s ass and for some reason being asked to kill someone, I mean it’s not like he never killed anyone before, while Mahone is the only one left with a little bit of brain to see that something’s wrong and they’re being setup again. Of course, Linc just run in without thinking first (Michael ran there too knowing exactly it was was his mother wanted him to do, so thinking might not help much at this point) and they all can be blamed again.
Woohoo, I guess. At this point I just don’t think this is fun, and it’s to the point where the only reason I kep watching is because I’ve been there from day one, and I know there’s only a few episodes left…
What did everybody else think?
