Prison Break: Fire/Water
By fred | September 27, 2007
(S03E02) Well, I just saw the second episode of this new season of Prison Break, and I think I stand exactly where I stood after the first episode, nothing really changed in feelings towards this new season.
And in a way, this is not the worst news of all, it means it did not get (really) worse. I guess it did not, but for sure it did not get any better. It all goes according to what I thought, feared was the plan, and that’s definitely not a good plan. Not for the season, not for the show.
Basically there are now two places where the action take place, two stories now, one per brother.
Let’s start with Lincoln. And I’ll make it quick : I don’t care. I don’t care about this whole part of the show, there is absolutely nothing there.
- Was there anything interesting in this story ? Nope.
- Did anything that happened surprise you, is there anything you did NOT see coming ? Again, that a big no.
- Is it worth watching, is it at least exciting or entertaining to witness him go through his days ? Let me think… NO
- Are we learning anything from this, any (big) reveals made ? Try again, cause that’s another miss.
- Was there anything to like ? No. Well, actually yeah : the guy took a shower & put on a nice jacket. Cool, good for him. Was it worth it ? No. No no no no no. You cannot do this to me. No. No no no.
So yeah, The Company want Whistler out. Somehow they had a big plan to use Michael to do that. Because they have only a bunch of morons or incompetent people working for them, I guess. And [insert political crap here] so they have to go through the back door. But they also cannot wait more than a week.
I assume something happens, or has to happen, in one week. Why else would they chose such a ridiculously short delay, it’s not like escaping from there was an easy thing, something common thing that happened every two weeks.
Anyways, they don’t know Whistler is trying to get out on his own, and that might be because he’s not directly linked to them. Maybe he’s not a killer, or a Company employee, maybe he’s some innocent guy who got framed, and that now The Company wants dead. Sounds familiar, well yeah… from two season ago.
…
Actually, I almost forgot about Sucre ! Well, I could as well have, seeing how nothing happened there. Had he actually pursued, gotten on the bus heading to meet his girl, or try to bring her back here, there would have been some surprise. But of course it didn’t happened, because he has to come back and help Lincoln helping Michael. This was just to put an end to that plot, or else people would have wondered.
So we can forget about this.
