Life: Jackpot

(S02E07) As we all know, this show is absolutely brilliant, but so far this season things haven’t been as great as they once were, the show we loved so much didn’t return to use for a sophomore season exactly as we left it, about a year ago. All of this has already been discussed in the past and will most likely continued to be discussed for as long as it is still going on on the show.
Many have focused on Dani, for obvious reason, as a perfect illustration of what went wrong this season. She is a perfect illustration of what changed, and did in a bad way, especially since we weren’t given any sort of explanation whatsoever, an illustration of what needs to be addressed sooner rather than later, but she is not the problem. The problem, and there’s not one doubt about this, is that douchebag most ingore and some refer to as Tidwell.
I don’t know exactly how the writers think this character is being perceived, what they think we should feel about him, but here’s how is actually is : he’s a douchebag. He really is, he’s not a captain, he’s not funny, he’s just a douche who thinks sexually harassing female detectives working for him is cute, who thinks acting like a child is funny, who’s got nothing of an effective, competent, interesting captain, or character altogether.
And while he wasn’t at his worse this week, I still hope he would just die already. Two main reasons for this : one, I still hate the whole thing going on between Reese and him. That kiss disgusted me last week, and I really hoped – as I discussed before – that it was a mistake writers were forced to do but that would simply be ignored form then on.
And when it was exactly what Reese was doing, pretending that kiss simply never happened, I felt relieved for a moment, like finally things were moving on the right direction a little. Alas, by the end of the episode when Dani thought she was talking to Charlie, it was douchebag again. And that’s my second reason for wishing death on this jackass : he’s in the way of the show.
Yeah yeah, they’re cops and each week we got a new crime, but Life is not about murders or investigations or nothing like that, it’s about people. It’s about broken people getting a second chance at life. At least, that’s what it used to be, because now it’s about making Tidwell a character. I loved when he was confined into boring filler crap, because at the very least it meant Charlie & Dani could finally be working together, and God knows that why I love the show : seeing those two working together.
Which is why it annoys the Hell outta me that this season, Crews & Reese have apparently become incompetent idiots who needs extra care from their douchebag of captain, because they almost never actually work the case together, but always with that douche. Every time we need to see them exchanging theories, bumping ideas on one another, just working their magic, we have to have that douche in the middle of it, starring at Dani and undressing her with his pervy eyes.
I just hate that.

I noticed you didn’t mention the look (pure lust me thinks) that Charlie gave Dani in Hannah’s apartment (where they found the boots).
Did I imagine it?
Did it never actually happen?
I think I’m going crazy…I see Creese everywhere…
The less they give me about them, the more I want them…
@_@
Well, I didn’t notice any such look actually, no. So I think you’re crazy, yes! ;P
I don’t think Charlie ever looked at Reese that way, not that he doesn’t see her, but just not that way.
Just like when he got in the shower with her back in season one, it never got sexual because she’s his partner and he doesn’t think of her that way, I feel.
I don’t know if this link can help you to actually recognise the look (and the moment) I was speaking about ^__^:

..and yes, I think you’re right! I’m crazy! ;PP
