Is Jack back?

By fred | April 18, 2007

(S06E18) So, is he? Really? Or what that just once again a false hope we all had for a while?
Sadly if you watched last episode of 24, you all know by now… it was a false hope, again.

Remember back when this new season just started? I had some hope for this season to be nothing be awesome as we’ve never seen, I mean, maybe not that much but still. There was some pretty cool ideas I’d wished they used on previous seasons already, so to see they finally got there was a great move, and lots of hopes for us viewers.

But then, it all went down the tube as they kinda forgot about all that and set back up to their usual (crappy) plots we know by heart from the start of the show, it our hopes were dead.

I think most fans would agree this season wasn’t the best, far from it, and that seeing Jack getting the nukes and with that closing that plot was a relief.
Then, when Audrey was on the phone, as hostage of the Chinese, and Jack had to go and save her, our hopes got back up there. Maybe the whole crappy plots were finally dead, and we would get to witness a great personal vendetta from no other than Jack Bauer, the one & only.

And then we watched the episode.

You can’t do that, it’s wrong! And he called Chloe, so she’d help him without telling anyone at CTU, again. Only to create more useless CTU drama, again. Although there was a new one this time: she just went to Buckanon and confessed.
And why? Because Morris confronted her!! Giving in to terrorist and helping them getting nuclear devices working when you know they’ll use them ASAP on US soil is ok by him, but trusting a guy who saved the country countless times and was ready to give up his own life do to so, no way. And so Chloe gave Jack up!

WTF!? Since when does she do that? I had my money on something more like, “M. Buckanan, I have to tell you something… Morris has started drinking again.â€? Now that would’ve been funny, but of course it wouldn’t have had put the White House back into play, so…

Speaking of which, Palmer got his buddy (or is he not?) to resign, threatening to use the tape of him & his (soon to be) lover conspirating to commit perjury. Even though if you ask me, I don’t think he had that tape. Nor did he even heard it for that matter.

So Daniels is ready to give up & resign, and he won’t even wait the week Palmer gave him. He’ll give him the letter right after the President’s press conference.
Or will he? Because right in the middle of it, Palmer just got brainconfused and collapsed line on national television.
