In Treatment: Jake And Amy – Week Three

By fred | February 17, 2008

In Treatment(S01E14) Right, so this was Thursday’s session indeed but once again I got busy with other things, and as I said before I’m not sure I like those sessions anyways. Jake and Amy didn’t really grew on me, and I don’t really care about them or their problems. They’re also highly obnoxious, especially him, and it gets more annoying than anything else.

Adding to that how last time it was cut short and turned into a whole mess about Paul and his wife and their own personal drama, and marriage falling apart, and that was enough to have me bored.

This week, we got things in reserved, compared to the first time. This week Amy was there, and Jake wasn’t. He wasn’t late, he wasn’t coming. So Amy was there, and for some reason she decided to follow Laura’s path and flirt with Paul, which I find odd given how the guy is a real jerk, but anyways.

She was quite annoying with her whole attitude about how she’s just fine and doesn’t care about anything, which was obviously an act. Let’s move on, Jake finally showed up and then it was exactly like before : Amy suddenly felt crushed all over again, she couldn’t breathe or do anything, Jake was back to threatening and pressuring her non-stop…

Those two should get a divorce indeed, they can’t work it out. They pretty much hate eachother, they can’t talk to one another, and I don’t even think they really want to anyways. We didn’t get anything else than what we had had before, nothing new. It didn’t really get anywhere (new) and really, I don’t care. I’ll just note that, I think I mention how Alex was always the only one to pay Paul, well this time Jake paid as well.

So they really hadn’t even paid him ! Amazing. What’s more amazing though is how Paul is said to be one of the best therapist (according to Alex), and how people are willing to pay hundreds of dollars for… yeah, for what, exactly? Because he’s a really bad therapist, he sucks, and he Alex told him recently : he doesn’t never give any advice, he doesn’t ever help his patients, just argues with them.

And this week was like the last, they left soon so we got a little more of Paul and his wife, confirming – if it was needed – that Paul is really a jerk, too. He too should get a divorce. Really, at this point I just feel sorry for both Paul’s kids, and Jake & Amy’s kids.

All in all, this sucked, and I don’t think I’ll bother with the Thursday’s session no more. No worth it.
