House: Whatever It Takes
By fred | November 8, 2007
Now that this is done, quick words about those interns. Cell phones had never been used as much I think, Thirteen even used one to call Foreman, up in House’s office, from the patient room ! But the best part about that had to be House, getting calls from “Cutthroat bitch”. I was also pleased to see 6/9 more present.
I liked the recurring but about Lupus, an inside joke on the show, but I’m a little disappointed that Cameron didn’t learn from her years with House, she should have told them : it’s never Lupus. Seriously, never. (Note: I’d love for them to get one case that would eventually end with being… Lupus!) So apart from flirting a little, which should have made plastic surgeon happy, he and cutthroat bitch went to Cameron for “help”.
Not the first time she goes to her, but this time it resulted in a great scene here Foreman went to see her and mess with her patient. “Wow. This taught me a lesson. Guess when I mess with other people’s patients, I risk looking like an officious bitch!” That was pretty cool!
Following on that, I liked her messing with Chase’s hands as he was to go in surgery. Silly, but fun.
In other news, the other guy is a nut-job, the Mormon barely said a word, and Thirteen is still a mystery. “Your dad’s either a cop, or a security guard!”
Meanwhile, in a secret place…
So our good doctor House was away helping the CIA. That whole part of the episode was just great, as we get to see House really enjoying the experience, and going sneaky remarks after sexual comments all the time. And Dr Terzi, who invited him here, had no problem with that, she even joined him and flirt back with House.
House was true to himself, but the fact that he was dealing with only “other” people and none of the usual put things in a different perspective. Yes, he’s a jerk. But he’s always like that, regardless of who he’s dealing with, and most important he can afford to be like that because he’s so good at what he does, and in the end he was right. That might not mean everything, but as Dr Terzi said, “it means a lot“.
I loved so many of the great lines that I won’t even try to list them all, but I have to mention how no one could ever believe that House was in fact working with the CIA, and he had to get Wilson to call in himself to make him believe it. “They got a satellite aimed directly into Cuddy’s vagina. I told them chances of invasion are slim to none, but…”
Wilson was impressed, and a little worried, “Relax, I’m sure they already know that you brought Heroin back from Afghanistan.” I loved how Wilson felt the need to deny that last comment! Then he got in trouble with Cuddy for saying the truth, and punished more than House because he’s a better person! Being a friend of House sure is good thing, ain’t it?
Jokes aside, I’m sure House could have had the CIA to confirm to Cuddy the whole thing. Knowing House, reason he did not was probably to try to get Wilson to do more Clinic hours. It didn’t really work in the end, though.
But the real shocker was at the very end, when Dr Terzi accepted House’s offer, “I happen to have a position available on my penis“. Well, not that offer really, but a position on his staff. She even already resigned from her job at the CIA, which if she really did was a risky thing to do, as House may very well have only been joking.
Either way, I didn’t like that part. We’ve already got our new bunch of interns, and we still have to send a few of them away, the original members are still around, so if there’s one thing we do not need at this point it’s more people to join in. Here’s hoping that she won’t actually stay around.
All in all another great episode, because even if I didn’t like everything that happened, I did most of it, I laughed quite a few times, and I simply fully enjoy the whole hour. This is great television, this is must-see TV, and I do not want to have it taken away from me because some morons refuse to pay the ones actually responsible for what made such a great hour possible in the first place.
