House: Ugly

But that was not the only thing different about House this week, he was also showing signs of.. human emotions, or feelings. Wilson was also socked to see guilt or remorse in his friend, who felt like he couldn’t fire Terzi after she gave up a career at the CIA (where she was… a doctor ? Really ? Or doing paper work stuff only ?) to come and work here. Such a thing coming from Gregory House is quite unusual to say the least !
In the end he had to do what had to be done, and he fired her anyway. I was pretty happy with that, because as I said last week when she got the job I wasn’t too thrilled about having her in. I’m not sure the reason of this whole plot, but I do like that they didn’t hire Michael Michele just for one episode, but had her back only to fire her. Because I for one, and I doubt I’m alone there, thought that if only because she’s a known actress it meant her character was going to stick around for a bit longer. Whether it was actually intended to be used as a(n added) “surprise factor”, it worked that way.
I mentioned that House had to ask Foreman to know what made sense and what didn’t, and besides that and telling House to let the documentary crew do their job, we didn’t get much of Foreman this week. Nothing wrong with that. Despite his indirect involvement with the case Chase wasn’t too much around either, leaving us with the last of the original members of House’s team, that they obviously had to go interview, Cameron.
Cameron was only here for that little interview, and then her attempt to fix what she inadvertently said, that she loved House. I’m not sure I liked this very much, because as well as it did fit the character, this is yet another sign they’re hinting that - while she might have looked pretty happy with her new position - she was in fact whishing to go back to House.
We knew, and she had told Foreman before, that she loved House, being around him and part of his team. And that she missed that aspect of her life job. And while before the season started I said I would have loved to see her coming back to work with House, I don’t want this to happen anymore. Because, you know, she’s blonde now.
Seriously though, now that Foreman had been brought back and is here to stay, I really don’t want any of the former members to come back. Because I’ve grown to like the new doctors, or some of them at least, and I wish they’d stay around. And I don’t want two teams, or a team of six : the three former, and three new ones. Again, I love both Cameron and Chase, but they should stay where they are and only show up a little, from time to time, exactly as they did so far this season.
Wilson has always had such a role of the show, and it worked just great. I loved the way Chase appeared throughout the whole season so far, it was pretty much perfect, and that shouldn’t change. Honestly, I liked Cameron better during the first episodes, when she looks so much happier now that she was out of House’s universe. She could still interact with him, but the pressure was off, they were now equals, and it felt great.
I don’t really want that to change, and I surely don’t want to have her back on the team now, because then we’ll be just one step too close to have to former team back, and there would be nothing left to stop them from crossing that line.
Now that we’ve talked about the former ones, let’s have a look at the new ones - minus Terzi who’s been fired already.
And I’m sure that will put a big smile on cutthroat bitch, cause she really wasn’t happy about her last minute addition to the game. Apart from that and her lipstick addition for the camera, I didn’t really noticed anything else about her this week.
And while he seemed more present this week, the Mormon didn’t left much of a memory on me either. Which I realize is pretty unfair, given that he was the one to be more than just a pretty face. I was pleased to see a little more of 6/9, or Kutner, and I absolutely love his way to comfort the patient, and trying too hard in front of the camera, ending up loosing it and forgetting to think first : “I guess I am comparing our situations, but only to show you how yours is worse.”
