House: The Right Stuff

By fred | October 6, 2007

Anyways, on the final candidates :

- Number 13 : lovely girl, little touch of a Cameron, like to think outside of the box, I like her, I think she’ll be great.

- Number 6, I mean 9 : great guy, wants the job, he’s not a Chase nor a Foreman but he’ll be a great addition as well. And could be used for comedic purposes, he’s good at that too.

- Number 24 : I’m not sure if we’re supposed to like her, or (love to) hate her. I’m guessing the former, yet I tend to go for the later myself. Sure, she’s sneaky, she used tricks to get ride of others on the carwash and stole House’s keys. But she appeared pretentious at times too, and not as caring. She might be a great part of the team nevertheless, she’s not afraid of bending the rules, she’s a bit like House in ways and the two can be an explosive duo. Or fight all the time.
She knows a lot and is quite sure of herself, maybe a little too much, as I found her somewhat pretentious and obnoxious on occasion. And not with House’s style.

Number 24 and 9 already interact well with each other, we need to add number 13 in the mix (for some reason I can see 13 and 24 hating each other), and probably number 39, as he’s showed he would be sneaky at times as well, and was good dealing with patients too. That’s already four, so I don’t see any others make it, unless he does go for salary revaluation and all to get his “assistant” (number 26 is it?)

That’s for the new team, and while it didn’t last as long as I first thought it could, it was great, and I am pleased that none of the original players are back in.

So let’s talk about them. Again, very nicely done, we saw very little of them and it is a good decision. Funnily enough, it’s so well made we could even forget that we got to see the three of them already, with two back in the hospital, and this is only the second episode. And, that was all within one episode!

HouseBut the way it was done allowed us to forget about this, and while one could wonder why they’d stick around here, if one does the other would - they’re still a couplen right? On screen at least that is. And while I am not liking her new blond hair, it was great to see Cameron back, and some goes for Chase. Oh yeah, how cool was that scene with Chase, up there, giving the answer, proving that he’s a great doctor, who learned from his experiences with House and doesn’t need him anymore.

I liked how we could see House, when asked by some number if he was to hire “that guy” instead of them, actually thinking about it. I’m pretty sure he envisioned it, he might have been regretting his previous actions, but Chase made a small sign with his head, which both meant that neither of them needed th other one anymore. Great scene.

I am very worried about how they’ll manage to have them to be part of the show on future episodes, and even more on how they’ll bring Foreman - who did quit so that he could leave House, and this place. Wait and see.

On other news, quickly :

- Good news everyone : House was popping pills again!

- This was a shocker to me : Wilson actually had done it, he’d trashed the guitar!! I think there is no way he’d have done that a couple of years ago. That, my friend, was all due to House influence on the guy. It’s great for Wilson, I think, and ironic enough that it does bite House in the ass.
