House: Guardian Angels

By fred | October 25, 2007

To tell you the truth, when the new reality TV parody came up, this time The Bachelor, at first I really wanted cut throat bitch (whom I shall call Amber from now on) to leave. It wasn’t really hard to figure out she was feeding the lies about the ghost, to screw with Thirteen’s head, and I prayed that House would fire her because while manipulative and all, it didn’t served the patient or the case in any point. In fact, Thirteen was pretty silent the whole episode, I missed her a little.

Anyways, I hoped Amber would go - even though she solved the case (before/unlike House!?) just like she played an important role last time. I still find her too close to House, and so fucking obnoxious. Obviously Thirteen was never going to leave, not just because as I mentioned before or Amber pointed out she keeps up the mystery, but also because House won’t fire her after her big screw up. Not unless she completely looses it, which won’t happen.

When Amber got her rose, or whatever flower it actually was, my first thought was that the other guy would leave, a not so clever way for them to loose one new doctor without actually loosing one, since no one cared about the guy. Turns out that, although they did loose one without really loosing a doctor, I was wrong. Something I both liked - better writing, and disliked - I liked Henry, as House referred to him this time.

But he was right, well, they both were actually.

Let’s move on to other characters, the original members of House’s team. And obviously, we have to start with Cameron. And the first thing I need to say, again, is that while she’s still incredibly cute, I liked her so much better as a brunette.

HouseThat being said, I really appreciated the way she was involved in this episode, expect maybe the part where she got a but House-like, manipulating young people only to win a few bucks. Well, that wasn’t really her motive I’m sure, but you get the point - she’s not usually like that.

But I really liked to see her out of House’s control, she’s more confident now. She is like an equal to him, like Wilson. And as such their relationship has evolved, and I really like the new Cameron - hair color aside. She doesn’t really have to get House a case every week, but besides that it was all perfect I thought.

Chase, we didn’t see of much of him, just enough. I also really liked that, because he’s not like Cameron who always has a special link, crush even, on House. He’s on his own thing now, he’s moved on, and unlike her he doesn’t feel the need to keep an eye on House, his team and what/how he’s doing. Besides, Chase go himself a new status now, I believe.

He’s way more confident, calm, I really liked how things turned out for the both of them, and while I’m not against having more of Chase on occasion, I would love for it not to become a regular thing, because how things are now is the way they should be.

Which leads us, obviously, to Foreman. I’ve said it last time, or before, but I don’t think they should have had him back on the show. I hated his stories last time, when he got fired, and I really hate that’s he’s coming back - although it was expected.

This part, is exactly what I was talking about when I wondered if I was going to hate House. “I left for a reason. That reason, hasn’t changed.” Yeah, only despite all that he is still coming back, and that part I really hate.
