House: 97 Seconds

(S04E03) Serious things on the way. Well, that’s not right to say, because while the first episodes might have had a lot about House having to and starting to look for a new team, there were some pretty good serious cases already.
But along the way the number of potential newcomers to become the new team got more and more small, Cameron and Chase got reintroduced into the show/hospital, and so the actual case are now taking the most part of the show. The look-out for a new team is only a part of it, just like having to deal with Cuddy, it’s not a main or big thing anymore.
And that was a pretty cool case. I did enjoy it quite a lot. Again it was not only of great quality but featured humor and interesting thoughts. But let’s start with the main case, shall we?
It was again all done well, and since there are still a few people around we had two teams this time, male versus female. Except for cutthroat bitch of course, trying to find her way into the other team because, according to her, that’s the way she’ll win. Now before anything else, I have to talk about the bitch.
I realize that’s she’s done a lot of good things, she takes initiatives and isn’t afraid to bend the rules, something House does appreciate. Also she seems quite good at her job, she is - unlike some - a real doctor. That being said, and while it looks like she might end up on the team, I wish she would not. I hate her.
Being not afraid to bend the rules and thinking outside of the box is good thing, but she seems to only work that way. Apparently, she cannot do otherwise. She can’t be on the team she’s assigned, she has to sneak out of the room when they’re being punished, she has to try and get favors from Cameron & Chase. Sure, a few of those things actually turned out to be helpful, but I wish she would calm down a little at times.
She’s too much, always wanting to separate herself from the “rule”, and that becomes ludicrous at time. For instance, I really hated her (some more) when she asked to switch team. Not just because, as House pointed out, it could be seen as a lack of confidence into the other female candidates, but her explanation to the guys was just awful.
So, she really thinks that the girls are better than the guys, who to her eyes are basically all morons. I find that quite unfair already, because I value much more Kal Penn’s character whose name I have no idea of, used to be number 6 or 9 depending on the occasion, or the plastic surgeon, or even the ridiculously old fraud, much more than some of the girls.
I mean, both the twins doesn’t seem to make one good doctor, and there’s one I know she’s there, she said a couple of things during this episode, but all I remember was that she look very shy and almost tried not to be noticed. Definitely not House material. So thinking right off that girls are better is pretty unfair, she might be good but Thirteen might not be that good.
But the cutthroat bitch doesn’t stop there, as she also believe she can beat the girls. Whether they’re better than the guys or not, she thinks she’s better than anyone, House included, and I do not believe this lack of reassessment is such a good thing.
So yeah, I hope she dies. Or, you know, just gets fired.
