Heroes: Kindred

(S02E03) Ok so, this time one of the first Monday shows I watched happens to be Heroes, the self-proclaimed hit than keeps loosing viewers every month, and for a reason. I’ve been complaining about this new season ever since, well, actually even before it started!
But as I said last time, bring on great episode and I’ll shut up and praise the show. Now evidently for some reason they’ve decided not to do that, and so they are really the ones to blame for the resulting complaints they get.
Doesn’t take a genius to get it, this episode was no different than its predecessors, and that’s not a good thing.
Let’s quickly go over each characters and why their stories is so uninteresting, at best.
Peter Petrelli
Still has no idea of who he is and what happened, and it turns out he’d rather make out than finding out. Now I don’t really blame the guy, but it just makes for real bad television in the end. Because if for some mysterious reason he didn’t die by the end of last season, it better not be to get stuck in some boring, uninteresting story absolutely unrelated to the whole plot of the show. I mean why would we want to watch that ?
So what if his new tattoo already got away, but not before shaping up like that bad deadly sign fro the past. The guy will only steal crap and drink beers in the pub of his new family, so why do I give a shit ?
Maya & Alejandro
Yeah, the cursed brothers from Mexico or wherever. I say cursed not so much because of what’s happening to them, but because of that lame ability they got! Move trucks “a la” Jedi knight ? Nope. Read minds of people ? Nope. Fly up in the sky ? Regenerate yourself ? Still not. Control machines ? Try again. Killing every one around while crying dark ? You got it!
Not to forget the brother who can make the darkness go away and bring them people back to life. If that’s not the lamest ability of all I don’t know what is!! Honestly, it’s ever worse than the non-ability but craziness of Nikki/Jessica, and that says a lot.
Besides that, boring all the way, I don’t even care to know why the cellmate happen to be driving around in Claire’s Nissan. In Mexico.
I will add, however, that I thought the “killing” when she was arrested was total BS. Why ? Because either she controls it, and that goes against all we’ve witness so far, or she can’t, it just overwhelms her as she’s under “pressure”, but then it should have happened way sooner back when she and her brother were separated. Total BS.
Nikki & Micah
How Awesome? We finally had the return of he boring family drama filler. So daddy is officially dead, and Micah doesn’t want to move, he wants to stay around, cause they’re a family. Could someone explain the kid his father is dead, and he’s not like Claire so no, he won’t come back. There’s no point in planting a tent in the graveyard hoping he’ll walk up in the middle of the night.
Besides, if he did, you’d probably need some hot ass-kicking vampire slayer, or something.
Should they stay or should they go ? I say go, away, from the show, forever.
I hope Nikki dies during the process of getting “cured”, because I don’t want to know more. Actually, I didn’t even care to know why she had to go, where or anything. She should have just left, at least Micah could have had – maybe – some interesting stories to be part of. Unlike others, he’s got a real ability that can be useful…
