Heroes: Four Months Ago

By fred | November 14, 2007

Conclusion

All in all this was a really bad episode, it plain sucked!

Even if they thought people would actually have loved the season so far, which seems quite hard to believe too, I just can’t believe this is what they thought people would want to see. Don’t tell me anyone actually liked it, please.

They obviously wanted this episode to be a major one, one where all the mysteries we’ve been dying to find out for months are finally explained, and they really thought we’d be interested in useless, boring filers, and a bunch of crap. Really!!?

What about telling how the Hell did Sylar ended up in the middle of nowhere ? Or how about how he got away so easily to find himself at the border in front of the twins cars ?

But no, they thought the twins were worth time, but not Sylar. Really?!!

HeroesNow after this, and when I remember a recent interview creator Tim Kring did begging the fans to come back and watch his show, an interview in which he did the worst thing he could ever do : admit that him, the writers, producers, all the “creative team” behind the show had absolutely no idea what to do with it.

They don’t know what they want to do with the show, where they want to go, even less how they want to get there.

Now this is really huge, because this is a serialized series. If CSI writers/showrunners were to say something like that, it wouldn’t be the end of the world, because it’s only secondary. Good, weekly cases comes first.

But here, it’s a bit like if Lost writers were to admit they had no idea what the Island was (all about), who the Others were, or what the Hell was going on. Basically, it’s an insult to all the fans and viewers, and that’s what Kring did with Heroes.

Thinking about it, I feel like this show will never get any better, like it will always suck. It’s doomed. It’s too late.

In fact, I realize now that I find myself pretty much like I was one week ago, after watching that piece of garbage that was the two-hours special of Prison Break. Also a big hype and long awaited thing, also an enormous disappointment in the end, to say the least.

And I’m now wondering myself if I shouldn’t just do with Heroes the same I did with Prison Break, and drop it. Stop watching. Because week after week they keep proving that this season is the worst, that the show suck, and there’s never any sign of hopes.

And just like with Fox’s drama, the bug moment that was supposed to make things better only made them much worse. So yeah, I think I’m done with Heroes, too. Are you?
