Kirsten Bell’s Elle
Let’s make a break during this bashing of what was a terrible episode, and focus for a moment on Elle.
She didn’t make that much of an impression on me last time around, but I will have to admit that things changed this time. You know what, she wasn’t just the best thing of the episode, she was the only thing worth something in that whole mess.
I’m not a fan of Kirsten Bell and I never watch Veronica Mars, but forced to say that yes, she is pretty hot! Add to that a few lovely cleavage here and there and most guys will be pleased.
But beyond that, I think Elle actually won me over and became my favorite character on the show. She didn’t take the spot from anyone else, I didn’t had any favorite as they all suck (a fully aware of his capabilities Peter could have been there, but he never lasted enough and lost his memory or some other crap before we could actually enjoy it).
I’m not sure she’ll be able to stay up there given on her first appearance wasn’t that impressive to me. But the way she was behaving with Peter, treating him like a little puppy of hers she could play with, that worked pretty well over here. And while I’m not buying that whole “locker for 16 years” crap, I really liked that crazy psychopath side of hers.
Side note, I wanted her to be the daughter of Adam, not Bob, and I still secretly hope she is - after all she never called him “dad” or anything, so…
With that said, let’s take a serious look at that plot.
Peter & Adam @ The Company
While, unlike the other stories of this episode, this one was not a stupid filler, that doesn’t mean it was any good. And the fact and the matter is, it was crap.
I still cannot believe this is what happened. Do you know what’s one of the most known and used tactic by cops, one could even say clichés on cop dramas ?
It’s to put to people together, or close enough so that they can talk, and watch them, and listen, trying to get some information.
Given that this is the company, you could have assume that there would have been some hidden cameras and micros in the cell, and that if they were to put two prisoners in cells near by, with a huge hole allowing them to talk like they were face to face, cause they didn’t even had to scream, talk louder, and get close to the walls, then it was because it was meant to happen.
It was because they wanted the two of them to talk, and they wanted to either gather info or witness how Peter (or Adam) would react.
But apparently no. There was no camera or microphone cause, well, there was none. And they really thought Adam would not talk, or that maybe if he was going to he would go along with the Company’s lies - given how he’s been locked up there for so long and all.
What, a bunch, of crap.
Elle doesn’t have the right to be disappointed in Peter at that point, we’ve been insulted too much already. And don’t even try to open a door of “it was a test” BS, cause it wasn’t. When it’s a test, you watch them and you don’t let them go out and cure some patients in a hospital. You don’t even let them escape at all, in fact, only show their intention, to do so.
Watch Prison Break if you need to see how this goes, they’re good at that crap I hear.
