Got any idea, Eureka?

By fred | July 11, 2007

Unless I got misinformed about the show. I thought it was just a sci-fi show, but maybe it is in fact a sci-fi show for teenagers !
If the target audience by this show are teens, who might enjoy those stupid unfunny jokes and, due to their young ages, will luckily never have heard or read or seen any of those boring clichés we’re all, otherwise, bored to death with.

In such case, there might be an audience, I guess. Even then I’m not sure. But not for more than that. No way.

The sheriff who’s new and don’t get nothing, but acts bored & used to it by the end of one episode cannot be enjoyed by anyone older than 12.

The growing romance between him and the lady boss, whose (ex-)husband just happens to be the big boss of the whole town, same deal.
The one between G.I.Goe girl and weird mad scientist too.

I refuse to think that any one, who has a little history in TV viewing, would enjoy that show. How could you find the new house joke even remotely not deadly boring ?
This is your new house, looks like an old crappy bunker from the outside, but wait, don’t go yet, once inside it’s everything of the latest hi-tech gadgets all around. Doors open before you, huge flat screen TV, and, of course, the house can talk to you!

Why would anyone with a brain like such a story, not only is it older than television itself, but even by 12 you must have heard it somewhere, or seen it already in some cartoon or somewhere else.

The only thing, in that scene, that kind of make me smile if that gigantic huge fridge hidden in the wall. It was lame, but the huge thing looked heavy as hell and definately not new, or hi-tech or whatnot. Normally I would assume this was a joke, but seeing how the show is made it’s probably not intended.
Or a joke from the guy in charge, who did this without telling anyone and no one noticed. Yeah, that’s more likely.

Watching episodes of the show I actually got to wondered who was actually writing it? If they’re not targeting teens, aka. people who won’t mind poorly written episodes that are nothing but old clichés and ancient jokes put together, then they are, teenagers.
Hence the poor writing and so on.
