Gossip Girl: Much ‘I Do’ About Nothing

By fred | May 20, 2008

Anyways, on to come back to Sarah, I mean Georgina. So last time we checked, she and D were heading home, and much to S shock she did spend the night. But wait, they didn’t actually do anything but talk, I guess. Well, I’m disappointed really, after such brilliance so far I was sure G would have had her way with D. But she did not, but as he said to Serena : he did not sleep with her, but he could as well have.

Gossip GirlThey’re over, for good. Except they’re still room for them later to come back to one another, after all she seems sure he’s her lobster, or something. But here’s the thing : he’s had it, he (obnoxiously claimed to be) the most understanding guy in the entire world (no less), but he couldn’t go with this. And I think he’s right (not about being…), because S can claim they’re exactly how they were back when they started dating, only there’s a huge difference : all the lies Dan can’t let go this time, they come from the new Serena, who still couldn’t trust him.

So she had it coming, and it’s not like she’s having a hard time over it. It didn’t take long for her to fall back into Nate’s arms, or to head that way, while meanwhile Dan is spending time with Vanessa. I thought N & V could be a cute couple, I guess we won’t get to see that after all. Anyone else thinks V dumped N as soon as she found out D was potentially available ? PS: At the wedding, her hair, horrible. She looked so much better back with Dan, so here’s one reason she should hang out with Dan instead of attending weddings, I guess.

And what about Blair ? Well, she doesn’t know C is cheating already, and I’m not sure she expects it despite knowing who he actually is, but she found a potential replacement already. Things are just going so fast sometimes…

So B might not be lucky at heart soon, but at least she got her game straight, sending G away. I’m not sure how you feel about that one, but I was a little disappointed. Not that it didn’t look like she totally had G in the park, it sure did, but really : G was able to manipulate her way into putting S in trouble, having her to drink again and for some unknown reason lie to her boyfriend, she had V and D totally fooled, as they were all coming to take her down, she just stood there and got to spend to night with D, even though nothing happened.

Clearly, she’s good. And what did B do ? She called the parents. That’s about it. I mean really, for a “crazy bitch”, she didn’t do as good as G so far, not even close. And I kinda wish that after B and C were ready to “take her down”, it would resort to a bit more than just a phone call to daddy. But hey, hopefully next season it’s an even angrier and meaner G who will come back…

And we have a lot to wait for, a new wedding starting off “really good”, new couples being made and unmade, and Little J heading right back to Blair, as she got her internship for Blair’s mom ! (By the way I’m still shock that some people still haven’t got that hint: big envelope, you’re in; small envelope, no thanks.)

This was a pretty heavy season we got there, a lot of things happened. No really, a lot happened, especially during those last few weeks. I kinda hope that next season things will slow down a little, just so that we can enjoy them more (or at all), but it was a pretty good season in the end, finishing a lot better that it started, and the future looks really worth watching… too bad we have to wait to long before we actually get to see what happens next!
