The Office: Fun Run
(s04E01) What can I say. I hear some people “complaining” that it wasn’t funny enough, there was too much romance and the likes. Let me disagree.
Ok, the second episode was a little less funny than the first, but really - overall the hour was great, lots of great, hilarious moments (I mean, talk about some amazing opener!), and in the end I loved every bit of it. They’re all truth to their selves, while there’s a new dynamic to take place it’s not quite there yet - but Ryan has already turned to the dark side.
And most important, how cool was it to finally see Jim and Pam together, for real, happy, holding hands, smiling. It was what everyone had been waiting for, and Pam looked gorgeous. She’s blooming for sure, ever since she walked over the hot coals, and I love the new Pam.
Now of course they’re keeping it a secret, though it might not last, and I just hope they won’t actually go into soap mode like Friends did, having the two fighting, going on “a break”, etc cause that would just ruin the whole thing.
On a side romance note, I don’t want to say I felt sorry for Dwight, but I’m sure he actually meant good when he killed Angela’s cat, and he genuinely doesn’t get it.
This show is just great, hilarious, it’s always such a pleasure to spend time around those people. And if they don’t focus on doing one-hour special that much, and even don’t mind doing two “completely separated” episodes, with different unrelated stories, instead of trying to stretch out one story too much (the second episode/part of the premiere felt like that at times), then it’ll be nothing but fun, for us at least.
Numb3rs: Trust Metric
(S04E01) Good show, nice guest, but stupid cliché resolution to the story initiated during last season’s finale. But maybe there might be some consequences to it, so at least that’s that.
In other news, I liked Megan’s new look, was thrilled to see Larry back (and Peter MacNicol away from his bad 24 days), and that’s it.
