Dirty Sexy Money: Pilot
(S01E01) I had hear many good comments about this new series, and I was excited to see Peter Krause back on TV. So you could imagine my deception when I actually sat and watched Dirty Sexy Money. The main plot is hugely clichĂ©, the guy saying “I’ll never work for them” only to accept to work for them the next day.
“
Them”, it’s the Darlings. But don’t let their name fool you, they’re all incredibly rich, obnoxious, drunk, stupid, mean, you got it, there’s no one to love in that family. They have every one into one family, the old figure father, the grieving over her lover wife, the Paris Hilton bitch, the lazy drug addicted kid, the bastard priest, the gay attorney, the girl who can’t remember her fiancĂ©’s name, and is in love with someone else, they have it all, and while some might be worth our time, overall I doubt they can keep the interest level up.
And he’s not one to save it, I mean the guy can’t even get inside his own father’s funeral!
And to be honest, like those characters are, the show just tries too much, take themselves too seriously, and as of for now I am really not sure I’ll keep watching.
My Name Is Earl: My Name Is Inmate 28301-016
(S03E01-02) So Earl’s in jail now, and will stay there for a while. At least, unlike some other shows, this isn’t another take on a previous season. But to be honest, while Earl is still is nice guy and watching him and his entourage go through life can be good, I think that :
(a) restricting the area of actions to a prison is probably not such a good idea for Earl
(b) honestly, with all the awesome sitcoms out there (How I Met Your Mother, 30 Rock, The Office…) I just don’t think Earl is must-see.
I’ll probably keep watching, from time to time, when I have time, but that’s all.
