Breaking Bad: Cat’s in the Bag…

(S01E02) Well, I don’t know about you but I myself only watched the pilot of this new show yesterday. It’s been a week since it aired, but I somehow manager not to sit & watch it before then. I don’t really regret it, cause I now had to wait close to nothing before I could get to see this second episode, which is a pretty neat thing because as you know if you read my review of the pilot, I love the show!
I said plenty of good things about it, and I meant each and everyone of them. I also said that I didn’t really know where the show would go for now. After the pilot ended, it was obvious that things weren’t really all good for White, not that they were all bad either, well it could be worse, but what would actually happen was some mystery to me, but I had a strong feeling that I wouldn’t be disappointed by whatever was coming.
Turns out I was completely right, this episode was once again fucking brilliant! I know this may be too early to tell, I know it’s been only what, a couple episodes ? Yeah, well, keep it up that way for another couple of episodes and this show will enter the top 4 of my favorites current shows. And the only reason I say the top 4 is because right now I have 3 series I absolutely love more than anything else, shows that I consider to be really above the rest, and I can’t put them aside, I physically cannot do that, but if it stays as good Breaking Bad deserves to be up there as well, because it’s that awesome !!
I sure hope everyone is watching this show, if you are not what the Hell are you waiting for, you need to watch it, it’s awesome!
This episode started right where the last one ended, and then very much like during the pilot we had a little flashback to see the rest of what had happened. And to keep with its dark/twisted humor, when last time I said White had already killed two people, I was wrong, he had only killed one. Turns out the other one it still alive, and when he started to move, “Oh shit!“, man that was funny !
After a somewhat good start and having cooked some very nice things during last episode, things had already started to go downhill. It didn’t stop this time, and they’re already in way more trouble that they probably ever thought they could be, they already have plenty of shit to deal with, costs are raising up, and they haven’t made one cent out of it! Needless to say, things aren’t doing so good.
Last time I mentioned the “realism” of the show, and, well, almost as an attempt to made me lie there was some things that were really “TV” this week, for instance how White’s wife looked up the phone number of the guy on the Internet, and was then redirected to some weird web site. Still, the show feels completely real, and it starts with the characters who make it, those people feel very real, and that feels great.
Today’s main issue was for White and Pinkman to deal with the two bodies. Well, and the fact that was of them was still alive. I mentioned the dark & twisted humor of the show, but there’s also some very simple things that got me actually laughing out loud, like when after flipping the coin how White went : “Best two out of three” Was that some hilarious line or what?
