ABC morons need a break!

So it is now official, ABC decided to put their new show Daybreak off the air. Proving once again, as if they needed to do so, that people working there are just a bunch of morons.

Was that harsh? I can’t really tell. I’m not sure. I mean, after all, they are.
Ok, maybe it was. A little. But guess what, that’s not worst behaviour what how they treat their audience, that is us, you & me, when they make such decisions.

Cause this really has to be one of the most stupid decision ever, and also why people who watch TV hate them more & more, and watch TV less & less, at least the traditional way.

Let’s rewind a little. Wednesdays, 9pm. Sitting in front of the TV. On ABC. That’s when all Lost fans, addicts & all the others were watching they favourite show. But after only six episodes – and by the way this is so not a way to go. Why couldn’t they just go the smart way, 24-style, wait ’till January and then just air the whole season, all episodes, in a row. But airing just a few episodes, too little to develop a real story, before taking a break of months, that is just stupid.

Anyways, only after six episodes they put Lost off the air for its “specially-long break�. And they had ordered a show that would fill in the blank during that time, which also covers the usual Christmas break of almost all TV shows. So this situation made basically two things for sure: 

1. This show is NOT gonna be very popular. At least not at first. (And by that, I basically mean at least during the 10 first out of 13 episodes, better case scenario) It’s just gonna have a hard time, some people are even gonna hate it, no matter what. Why? Simply because so many people love Lost, and want it back. And don’t want to wait months before it gets back. (Did I mention how stupid this schedule was?) They don’t care what that show is, all they know/care is that it’s not Lost. And they want Lost. So this show sucks… “so that’s what we get instead of Lost? This is just so not (as good as) Lost? I’m not gonna watch this to show ABC I hate the way they’re airing Lost!� etc etc. All those are they thoughts, even before they know what the show is, they don’t even need to watch it, why would they : it is not Lost.

 You could just put the greatest show ever on TV, they wouldn’t like it. Cause it’s not Lost. It’s not what they want. And they’re most likely mad at ABC. Cause they took Lost off the air already.

The idea here is, even if the show is truly great, it’s gonna be hard to get a big audience to love it, for all those reasons, plus it won’t be on air for long (cause I hear Lost will eventually get back, some day…) So just put it on the air till the end, not much else you can do. Besides, you kinda said you would earlier on…
