24 on steroids

Yeah that was a very cool thing. Only two minutes later we’d learn that, oh guess what: it was all fake!?!! WTF!? The guy shoot blanks, and the kid/wife ain’t dead, everyone was “pretending, yes the terrorist’s family was helping CTU’s Jack Bauer to get on the husband/father. Yes everything was ready for a pretend-execution, even though in such case there would have been no point for President Palmer to actually refuse to go with it…
But none of this mattered, Jack couldn’t be bad, always a good guy doing the good things & all that crap. But not this time, this time he had to kill a friend, and CTU agent Curtis is dead, from Jack’s gun.
Ok, relax people, Jack hasn’t turned to the dark side (yet?), but still it was a great move. Same thing with that amazing ending: the bomb went off, in the middle of Los Angeles a nuclear bomb exploded, they couldn’t stop it!
Oh awesome was that? Even if we all know the reason it went off : Jack Bauer. It’s because Jack wasn’t on scene. He got CTU the location of the bomb and terrorists, but he did not go there himself.
Now let me assure you that would Jack have been there, things would have gone quite differently, and that bomb would not have exploded. But all terrorists would still be probably dead though…
Sure CTU or Jack’s plans have not always worked brilliantly, they did failed in the past. But never to that point. I remember a time were a missile was on US soil, in L.A. also somehow, and it looked like they would not be able to stop it. Everything indicated that they were too late, terrorist had “won and the missile would go…
But that was forgetting about Jack Bauer. Jack was running on the roof of some building in L.A. and just jumped off!! Suicide? Hell no, he actually was able to grab the missile on the air, sit on it, and started kicking that damn thing again and again so much that he actually change direction, went all the way to some lost place in the desert, then Jack jumped out after making sure that the stupid missile would explode on some nowhere land, ripped his shirt off and used it as some kind of parachute and landed brilliantly, saving the world once more time.
That was because Jack is the best obviously, but also due to that fact that things can never go too wrong on 24. President Palmer did get killed, but only in a season when he’s no more President, and in the very first episode so he wasn’t really involved. Sure people get shoot, terrorist did bad things, but no one got his head cut off, Jack saved him and his daughter. Jack didn’t let them killed the yet-future President of the USA, he saved the hostages on some airport, Jack even got a plane & sacrificed himself – without actually dying though, cause Jack don’t die, he just got angrier, remember? – and prevented a catastrophic nuclear explosion when terrorists had a nucelar bomb…
Well, not this time. This time the bomb went off. Again, this season has lots of very interesting & exciting new things happening, too bad they don’t actually take risks, or stop write the show thinking people watching are so stupid everything had to be fully explained to them…
