24(S07E12) Oh yeah, that’s 24 alright!! Well, I’m not sure we had a lot of Jack Bauer in this one, but that was just a perfect episode of 24, and I do say that in a very twisted way… I mean, we all know that while watching this show, it’s like when watching Prison Break, you gotta be ready to forget about a few things that don’t really make sense. Suspension of disbelief is something that happens with every show, but you sure needed a lot of it to go through with this episode!

I think that of all the things that took place so far this season on 24, there hasn’t been as many that didn’t make sense on all the episodes before this one, than in this one alone, that was just awesome. I mean, it kept happening, one thing after the other, and I have to say that I just loved it, had me laughing my way through the hour. Listen, I don’t thin you could possibly watching this episode seriously, that’s not silly : it didn’t make sense.

You can’t possibly think that it would be that easy to walk in the White House, even with insider help. I mean, those guys got on a boat, went for a dive, and about 10 minutes later they were walking inside the White House, armed like crazy, and nobody even knew it, no one noticed anything — because you know, the White House – or even the West Wing only – isn’t a place where there aren’t many people there, barely the President, a couple of staff member and maybe a bodyguard or two, but that’s about it, right?

At this point you had to watch that and have fun with it, otherwise it’s just impossible. The number of things that didn’t make sense is just way too high, starting with Renee who’s been chased by an armed soldier and yet when she comes across a cop, she just stands there and chit chat with him, to make sure they can be shot at. Of course. Or, how later on said soldier decided not to shot first as he’s always done so far, just so that Renee could tell him about his father not being really dead and all. And, well, I guess that had really no other purpose at all that to magically save Renee’s life. Pretty pointless / waste a time for sure.

So of course, Juma and his men did get inside the White House just like that, because it’s certainly not like this is one of the most secured place in the US or nothing. And, better than Chloe ever was, they have a kid who’s able to hack in and control about everything inside the White House, disabling all security devices for as long as they need without triggering any sort of security/check systems, all that from his notebook and through the White House wifi or something – you gotta love the irony.

Then armed soldiers are walking in the West Wing, and again because nobody ever works there there isn’t a soul to notice anything, so Thank God for Agent Walker, so Moss could call in to let them know. Because, really, otherwise no one would have ever found out about the armed soldiers shooting people dead and living them on the floor all bloody and shit, no way.

And then we had such totally believable things such as the secret services abandoning the White House, and their President, to a group of terrorists. I’m not sure they know how many were there, but it’s without a doubt that the secret services would outnumber them, I mean seriously. And even though they received no proof whatsoever that they had indeed the President, or that she was still alive, they backed off. Totally.
