Alongside My Own Worst Enemy, reports have been out about Lipstick Jungle being canceled as well. But now, it seems that said cancellation didn’t really happen, or could be undone, or something. It’s not really clear.
Brooke Shields recently told US Weekly that Lipstick Jungle was not canceled, “They thought that because My Own Worst Enemy has been shut down that the same thing had happened to us, and it’s not true … they’re not breaking down the sets. We’re still working. We still have more to do, so it’s erroneously presented that we’ve been canceled, thank God.”
Now, it’s just silly to think people just assumed it was canceled because another show was, and while they might still be working that’s only because they’re wrapping up production of episode 13, last-ordered episode, as NBC is planning on airing all the remaining episodes.

Anyone still wondering why NBC is in the toilet ?
This is either quite funny, or sad depressingly sad and pathetic, depending on how you decide to look at things. According to Page Six, NBC Entertainment co-chair Ben Silverman will not only not be blamed for the Peacock’s lackluster fall schedule, but he is putting all the blame on someone else - Universal Media Studio President Katherine Pope - and that works so well that while she might get fired or something, Silverman could get a raise !!
Just how mind-blowing is that ?? The guy is a moron who should get fired for its poor work, because the network’s failing schedule is all on him, but instead he is apparently still praised, as one network insider told Page Six that “the company is very happy with Ben. He is deep in negotiations to re-up his contract with NBC, and he has the network up 50 percent profit from year to year.”
Just shoot me now.

* USA announced on Friday that its hit series Monk had been renewed for an eighth and final season. This 16-episode season will debut in the summer and put an end of the show, a decision said to have been mutually reached on by all parties involved with the show who wanted to bring the series to an end while it was still firing on all creative cylinders. I guess soon enough Psych will become USA biggest hit…
* Meanwhile, the unfunny comedies are going to stick around on CBS, as the net gave a vote of confidence for its two new series : Gary Unmarried received a seven-episode pickup, bringing the current total to a 20-episode season, while three more episodes of Worst Week were ordered as well.

Currently in its fourth season, which is better - or less worse - than its third season in Sona, Prison Break has been struggling in the ratings, getting the worst performances yet averaging barely 6 million viewers and 2.4 on the demo thus far.
When Fox released its mid-season schedule, fans of Michael and the rest of the A-Team surely noticed that Prison Break was nowhere to be seen, and announced to be coming back at a later date. Now, actors of the Fox drama have been notified by 20th TV that they might go on and shoot two additional episodes. No word yet as to what those would be, writers have yet to pitch ideas about it, but it sounds likely that those could be used to give the show a final conclusion.

* ..and so do I! Good news for every fans of The CW’s best new series of the season, Privileged. It might not be a full season pick-up, but it’s been reported that The CW ordered five additional episodes of the show. And not only that, but in order to try and give a little boost to the show, two episodes will have the privileged to air in the coveted timeslot that is Mondays at 9.00 right after Gossip Girl.
On December 1st and December 8th new episodes of Privileged will have their original airing on Monday at 9.00 after Gossip Girl (where reruns of One Tree Hill where originally scheduled), and will be reruned on the show’s official slot, Tuesdays at 9.00
Clearly a vote of confidence from the net, who believes - rightly so - that the show has potential to grow. And it does, week after week it’s been great and getting better, and I sure hope The CW will have faith in the show just like they did Gossip Girl in its first season… it paid off then, I’m sure it will now.

I don’t get it, I really don’t. The show has been having a good season so far, so why would they want to ruin How I Met Your Mother again ??
Yes, I say again, because unless you ask a CBS exec anyone will tell you Britney Spears was a disaster on the show last season, it was horrible and even more so the second time around. And quite frankly, as delightful as Sarah Chalke might have been at first, pretty soon the whole plot about Stella turned black and went nowhere fun, or funny.
The show is assured to be renewed for another season already, thanks to syndication deal, so why in Barney’s name would they agree to go down that awful road again ?? It’s just not good for the show, at all, too much crazy for not enough hot.

* Yes, Family Guy spin-off The Cleveland Show has been picked up by Fox for a full season order… for Fall 2009! Not that the show, coming from Seth MacFarlane (already behind Family Guy or American Dad), wasn’t going to get a full season order anyways, but the back-nine order is there already, even though not one single episode aired. And that’s not really going to change any time soon, either, because Fox also revealed that the show wouldn’t be seen until next fall, making it the first pickup of next season !
Star of the show Cleveland already reacted, commenting that “Fox picking up nine more episodes of our show is proof that an African-American can make it in this country. This is a milestone for the United States of America.”

The 35th Annual People’s Choice Awards Nominees have been announced, and for the most part there’s really not much to say, except that sometimes it feels even more wrong than the Emmys, which is saying a lot considering. Favorite dramas only include the major hits (CSI, Grey’s Anatomy, House) completely missing even the fantastic Lost and its mind-blowing season, not nominated at all.
Just like for comedies are missing the most hilarious sitcoms on the air — that’s right, no mention of 30 Rock, The Office or How I Met Your Mother ! How is that even possible ??

It’s been confirmed now that the new season of Lost will premiere on ABC Wednesday, January 21st at 9.00 - preceded by a recap episode at 8.00 as usual - with a two-hour season premiere, something I think we have never seen.
This new season will last 16 weeks, as per the original plan, even though it obviously includes 17 episodes — as will the next season, thus making up for the two episodes lost during the writers’ strike earlier this year.

Yay! Best news ever. After being bumped down learning that Fox was sending Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles and new series Dollhouse to Fridays, finally some good news, and from NBC at that!
After picking up such awful shows as Knight Rider or Kath & Kim, the Peacock finally decided to be smart and do the same for their best drama, and one of the greatest show on TV. NBC announced Friday that they gave Life a full-season order.
The show has received lots of well-deserved praises from critics, and while struggling in the ratings it managed to do well despite constant schedule moves. For its first airing on a Wednesday night, Life improved it earlier Friday average by 33% in the demo as well as improve from its weak lead-in (Knight Rider, 5.1 million, 1.6) with 5.9 million viewers and 2.0 on the demo.
Executive vice president of NBC Teri Weinberg said that “this unique crime drama continues to offer consistent and compelling stories each week. We love Life and are thrilled that we get to see more of these characters and amazing new cases.”
Is this the best news in a long time or what?? Now we need to get ride of Tidwell, and get a renewal for a third season of course!
