(S01E01) Californication marks the return of David Duchovny on TV, and if there’s something for sure it’s that watching the show you won’t see Fox Mulder any more. The show might not sound very interesting on paper, the life of a messed up, one-hit writer whose book was turned into a crappy movie, living a destructive life filled with drinking, drugs, foul language, and sex, lots of sex.
Of course he has a daughter, with an ex he’s still in love with, but it’s a bit too late for that.
No, none of this sound good. But don’t let that fool you, the show turned out to be pretty good in the end!

Shows: Californication
In Series: Californication Season 1

(S03E01) It’s been a while since I last saw the show, and while the first episodes of the show have found their way online I never found the time to watch them, so I was pretty happy to finally sit and enjoy the half hour of messy craziness that is Weeds.
That said, I can’t help myself but wonder if I like the show as much as I use to. On its first season, it was a pretty awesome show with a very different setup than what is has become today. And while evolution and changes are a good thing in itself, is the new direction the show is in as pleasing as its original, I’m not sure.

Shows: Weeds

(S01E05) The more it goes, the more this show turns out to be a huge disappointment. It was introduced with a great two-hours premiere that was action packed, intense, and offered great promise for the future.
None of them actually came true, things got damn slow, and bad, and episode after episode it gets worst. Last time I ended hoping that, finally, things would actually happen during the next hour. Next hour it was, and nothing really happened, again.

Shows: The Kill Point
In Series: The Kill Point Season 1

(S04E09) This was a pretty unique of The 4400, and in some ways you could see some similarities between this one and the one from last week. In some ways, or at first only, because the two episodes were not quite the same not will they have the same impact of the show, despite both dealing with the mail plot of the show while not actually being right there.
And not to spoil anything right now, I will still say that even if it did respond to a few remarks or criticisms I had formulated in the past, while last week’s episode was pretty great, this one on the other hand, was not.

Shows: The 4400
In Series: The 4400 Season 4

(S01E04) In the previous reviews of this show, I used to talk about all things that didn’t work, that weren’t good, yet I ended saying how good of a show it was. Well I won’t do this anymore.

I won’t, because I don’t feel that way no more. The show had a great potential, but I think it failed to pass it launch, it failed to keep up the tension and went into somewhat of a melodrama, it failed to avoid all the clichés of the genre, it failed to keep us interested & excited, and because it had such a great start it makes it even worst.

Shows: The Kill Point

(S02E05) The more I watch this new season of Psych the more I like the show. It really has evolved from the first season, and it keeps evolving nicely too. And while once in a while there’s an episode I don’t like so much, because it has a few reminders of what it used to be back in its first season, this one wasn’t anywhere near there.
Quite the opposite in fact, I loved this episode, plain and simple. This is exactly the kind of episodes they need to keep coming up with, it was great, and damn funny too.

(S04E08) So we continue with another episode that doesn’t involve a new “extra crispies”, or even a new 4400, but deals with the main story of the show. Unlike previous ones the lack of introduction of new character wasn’t the only difference : this episode could feel as one where “not much” happened, overall.
But don’t let appearance fool you, that episode dealt was dead on on the main plot of the show, and made things moved. It might not have occurred during this episode itself, but it was far from a “filler” episode.

Shows: The 4400
In Series: The 4400 Season 4
By fred | August 7, 2007
(S01E03) After watching the two-episodes premiere of this new mini-series, it was pretty obvious that, despite some flaws, The Kill Point was a very promising show I was really enjoying.
Well, I just watched the third episode, and I’m still as enthusiastic as I was. It is still a great show. Doesn’t mean it is perfect or that I’m pleased with everything that happens, but overall the show still holds it pretty strong and delivers a good hour of television.
As it was highly predictable, this episode slowed down its flow of actions. But now that they’re stuck in the bank trying to figure out how to escape, with cops all over trying to figure out how to catch them, the time for the gunshots and rushing into actions is over, for now at least.

Shows: The Kill Point
In Series: The Kill Point Season 1
By fred | August 6, 2007
(S02E04) As I keep watching this new season i realize something : while the show has clearly evolved from its debut, and turned into a better one, I don’t think it had improved as much as I first thought it had.
Don’t get me wrong though, this season is much better than the first one, and the show seems to keep on evolving instead of being stuck into their place as others might. But I have also been influenced by something that I’ve now realized : the second episode of this new season and its dinosaur mystery, was clearly one of a kind, and I believe the best episode of the show (yet).

In Series: Psych Season 2

(S01E01-02) I had no idea what this show was (about) but I decided to watch it anyways, since I had it there. Turns out it is actually a mini-series, and it premiered with the two episodes back to back on July 22nd. Which also means episode 3 already aired as well, July 29, so I’ll have to catch up fast if I wanna see the next one on time.
The Kill Point airs Sundays at 9pm on SpikeTV, and is definitely a must-see TV.
