Criminal Minds: Limelight

Criminal Minds(S03E13) Before I sat down to watch this episode, I had somewhat bittersweet feelings toward it. On one hand I was happy to see a new episode of Criminal Minds, which I think is a good show, and I was even pretty excited about the last episode which was one of the best of the series, but on the other hand it’s really sad to think that, despite this being only the 13th episode, there won’t be any more, not this season.

This was not intended to be a season finale, but because writers are on strike and things couldn’t get settled rapidly, this is the last episode that was completed and we’ll have to accept that this is how this season, which also started in a very special way as it found Gideon leaving the show unexpectedly.

Colbert’s Tribute To (His) Striking Writers (w/videos)

Stephen ColbertSo of course this had to happen.

Yesterday I finally posted about late-night shows, and what writing “is”. On the post I also mentioned how things had changed on most of those shows, and how the strike wasn’t as present or mentioned as it used to, especially on the first day(s). I did all that after having this in mind for a few days, and I did it before I watched some of the late night shows of that day.

I’ll be honest, I do watch some of them, despite the strike and all. Usually I watch Conan, cause I’m a fan, Stewart & Colbert, cause they’re great, and that’s about it. Maybe I’ll catch a Letterman if I like a guest, other than that his show ain’t my cup of tea. And of course Leno, well, he’s a sumbag so I stay away.

But I just watched The Colbert Report (of Tuesday’s night, 01.22.08) and there was some mention of the strike alright! Stephen Colbert was just pretty fantastic - not that it’s anything new - and it was definitely some must-see TV. If you missed it, or even if you haven’t, here’s what happened (videos included) :

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles: The Turk

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles(S01E03) This is the real meal, when it comes to Mondays now. The Monday show we’re all waiting for, excited about a new episode coming our way. I don’t know about you, but as far as I’m concerned I sure like the show so far, the two first episodes - though flawed - were pretty fun an delivered some solid hours of entertainment.

But also, they were mostly part of an “introduction”, they were setting things up and putting our character were they were going to be for, hopefully, some time. Now with the third episode serious things will start, because we’re entering the weekly routine of chasing Terminators and attempting to destroy Skynet, and it has be keep things up if it doesn’t want to loose its audience.

Prison Break: Dirt Nap

Prison Break(S03E10) So after I said I wouldn’t watch this show, I failed to resist last week and much to my surprise I got interested in the show again ! I didn’t say I was hooked or that it was back to being good, Hell no, but I have to admit that it was not as bad as it had been in the past, and damned those guys who had me wanted to see what would again next!

So here we are again, for a new episode of Prison Break. Now before I tuned in, I remembered what I said, which basically left no room for interpretation : either they, or Michael at least, would finally get out of Sona, or I was out. That was the deal. Now, did Michael get out ?

Psych: The Old And The Restless

Psych(S02E12) Another episode of Psych was on, and after last week’s highly disappointing episode, I was really hoping for something better. And by better, I only mean something that would be as good, and as funny, as the show used to be earlier on this season, before its hiatus. There were some really funny episodes back then, and I have gotten used to that level of fun & entertainment from this show.

Which is why last week was such a disappointment, because not only was it not very good, but more importantly it wasn’t fun, or funny. This week, and after the usual flashback scene which I didn’t especially enjoyed, but truth be told that’s something I usually don’t enjoy that much in every episode, things seemed to start off the right way.

LostA few days ago I reviewed the nine first episodes of Lost: Missing Pieces, the series of webisodes available first on Verizon mobile phone devices, and six days later on ABC’s website.

Today, I just watched the two latest episodes, so here we go.

Cashmere Mafia: Dangerous Liaisons

Cashmere Mafia(S01E03) I had watched and reviewed the second episode only to be able to take a look at this one, so obviously I did. Of course, it also helps that there’s not much else on TV. Ever since it started I haven’t been a fan of this show, which may have some good points, but a lot more bad ones. And to be honest, I didn’t expect things to get any better this time.

I’m not really sure I expected anything out of this episode, but what we got from the previous ones. And while it may not be the worst thing on TV, still mostly, it ain’t really good.

Lost: Missing Pieces - Episodes 1 to 9

LostYou may have heard about it, and even watched the first episodes already : Lost: Missing Pieces is a series of 13 mobisodes, or webisodes, available for viewing first on Verizon mobile phone devices, and six days later on ABC’s website.

Those little videos, made by the same cast and crew that works on the series, feature original content to be incorporated into the main storyline. They’ve been out for some time now already, but I had never checked them out so far. Today I did watch the nine first episodes released, and, well, there’s some good, some bad, and some ugly.

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles: Gnothi Seauton

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles(S01E02) Finally, the second episode of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (couldn’t they think of a shorter name, really?) is here ! I’ve ben waiting for this one for along time, and I was really excited to sit back and watch it. I did not absolutely loved the first episode, but it was a pretty good and I really enjoyed it, so all I wanted from this new hour of Terminator was just about that.

Of course, if things were to improve and get any better, I wouldn’t be opposed to it, quite obviously. Now that the episode is over, I don’t know how you felt about it, but for me it’s pretty much about the same as the first one. So yeah, it’s pretty good… Give us the third one, now!

Prison Break: Boxed In

Prison Break(S03E09) Yes, I know, I know, I said I wouldn’t watch it. Guess what, I’m a TVoholic, I couldn’t help myself. Plus, I needed to do something while waiting for Terminator to come on, so yes, I admit, I did watch the return of Prison Break !

I still remember how I felt after that two-hours “special” and how I “insulted” the show after wards, it really was bad. In fact, I did not review the episode after that, the last one before it went on a break, because I really couldn’t stand the show no more. Truth be told, I did eventually watch episode 8, and it was a piece of crap as well, so that’s for it.

But then, today, I watched the return of Michael and all the others again. How did it turn out ?
