(S01E04) My biggest fear with this show, was that after a very exciting pilot it would slowly turn into a quite common, if not boring, cop-drama procedural, only set in the seventies. Last week while the episode was good, and while they kept throwing in little and not so little details and hints about the time issues that are going on, unless that is the mind issues Sam is experiencing.
And as the show progresses, I find myself quite conflicted to be honest, because while there’s obviously a great deal of quality on the show and I am very much intrigued about what the Hell is happening to Sam, I still can’t get myself to be excited about the show. I’m never really looking forward for the next episode, somehow.

Shows: Life On Mars
In Series: Life On Mars Season 1
By fred | October 31, 2008
The main event last night as of course the season premiere of 30 Rock, finally, and so if you’re a fan of the show you’ll be delighted to hear that it did well, it did very well. In fact, it was a new series high for Tina Fey’s hilarious little comedy with 8.53 million viewers and a 4.1 on the demo ! That is an improvement of 16% in total viewers and 21% on the demo compared to last season’s premiere (7.3 million viewers, 3.4 on the demo) and a very good retention out of its new lead-in on the demo : 95%
Of course, Tina Fey being talked about like crazy in these election days with her Sarah Palin impressions probably helped and it will be interesting to see how this show does in the next weeks, but the show’s great, the episode was hilarious, and to help the promo they still have many guests coming up like Jennifer Aniston, Steve Martin or Oprah, so I’m sure it will be fine.

(S01E04) I recently talked about why Eleventh Hour was more exciting than Life On Mars, and as I explained, even though I’ll be the first to admit that there’s a higher quality level on ABC drama, this show is simply more exciting due to the way it’s been constructed, and that’s why I did tune in to watch it first.
Because when this episode opened, I had no idea what this would be about, it could go in any direction, and that makes thing quite exciting. Unfortunately though, it does seem as if Eleventh Hour really wants to remain Jerry Bruckheimer’s least interesting procedural, and if they don’t even try to get better at it and improve the quality of the show, I don’t see myself watching for too long.

(S04E07) After a very serious and dark tone for the first episodes of the season, Supernatural went all black & white and offered us a little “intermission”, with episodes that were obviously still pretty awesome, but also pretty hilarious. The tone was lighter, and for a moment the big stakes at play were almost forgotten. Sam and his demonic powers, Dean and his trip to Hell, and Lilith’s quest to bring Lucifer back to Earth were put aside for a little while.
Now, as the date pretty much forced it, this was the Halloween special episode of Supernatural, and as such it was probably quite natural for many of us, I suspect, to expect this episode to be another big bag of fun and hilarity, all the while tracking dangerous demons of course — I mean this is Supernatural, still.

Shows: Supernatural
In Series: Supernatural Season 4

(S03E01) Finally, it’s back!! We sure had to wait and wait and wait to get this show back on the air, even if Tina Fey was everywhere being praised for her hilarious performances as Sarah Palin. But finally, 30 Rock is back and so the world is better. I often say how wrong the Emmy are and how sometimes you have to wonder if whoever votes even bother to actually watch TV, but when it comes down to this show they definitely got it right.
This show is without a doubt unlike anything else on TV, it is filled with a unique pep energy that is really unique and makes everything seem like it’s all happening at once, one single flow of comedy that ends just after it started, or so it feels. You don’t know why it’s ending already when it just started a few minutes ago, until you realize it was actually half an hour ago and, thinking back, a lot did happen.

(S05E05) One of the best thing that ever happened to The Office is without a doubt the addition of the great Amy Ryan to the show. At first I wasn’t sure how I would feel about something taking over, especially since it meant we would lose Toby, whom we pretty much haven’t seen since then, and it was always fun to see Michael hate on him. But once Holly walked in, I didn’t even remember who Toby was.
Michael had a pretty catastrophic love life so far, just look at the mess Jan is, but with Holly things weren’t just different, but also so great. For a moment there, and with Pam away in New-York, Michael and Holly had become the office’s cutest couple, they are perfect for each other, by her side Michael was actually not the same, he was better than his usual self, and Holly was able to see through Michael’s often disturbed behavior and knew how to deal with it.

Next week on that day we will be talking about Life and the latest episode of the show, since it is moving to Wednesdays at 9.00 from now on. But before that I wanted to just talk a little more about one thing that happened last Friday during last episode, one thing that I thought was was really bad, in an otherwise really great episode. I am of course talking about that kiss, that horrible kiss that happened by the end of the episode.
I haven’t commented it that much in my review of Did You Fell That, other than to say I hated it, because that’s pretty much how I felt, and still feel, about it. But now that I had a little more time to calm down and look back at it, I just wanted to add a couple of things, a theory of why it happened, and what it meant that it did happen that way…

Shows: Life
In Series: Life Season 2

Last night was the famous night with Barack Obama’s Paid Political Message on the air for half an hour on a few networks, including three of the big four, as ABC kept its usual lineup. It was a success evidently, as over 27 million viewers did watch Obama. Most of them did so on NBC, who could enjoy something that could get almost 10 million viewers and a 3.0 on the demo — surely Knight Rider isn’t gonna do any such thing.
But if Obama was the least watched on Fox, the net has all the reason to be happy nonetheless, as they won the night easily thanks to the World Series, with 14.49 million viewers overnight and a 4.7 on the demo.
