It’s not really complicate, there might be a few new series coming up this season - previews of some of them here - but there are really only a couple of them that really look pretty exciting. Both are sci-fi shows, both will be on Fox, and both come to us from well-known and recognized people. Honestly, I couldn’t tell you about which of them I’m most excited about : J.J. Abrams’ Fringe, or Joss Whedon’s Dollhouse.
I want to say Fringe, but that might be only because I know it’s on next fall schedule, whereas for Dollhouse we’ll have to wait until 2009 ! Anyways, trailers, sneak peeks and promo pictures included after the jump !

It started last week, and it there’s no way to stop it : it will continue this week too. Last week quite a few shows have already disappeared from our screens, until next season or forever, and that was only the beginning. This week we go at it again, and basically every show on this week is having its finale.
So if you haven’t said goodbye to your favorite show this season, you will this week. Unless we’re talking about Lost of course : no Lost this week, we have to wait one more week before having the two last hours of this fantastic season.
Here’s the full list of shows ending (their season) this week :

Last Friday was a night of finale for CBS, and it won the night, but that was a pretty weak night anyways. Two season finale and one series finale didn’t really boost CBS, averaging 8.6 million viewers and a 2.0 on the demo, which is about the same as one week ago.
At 8.00 Ghost Whisperer was ending its season with 300 000 less viewers, barely making it to 2.0 on the demo. One hour later it was the very end for Moonlight, having its very last episode ever, and 100 000 less viewers were watching. 7.6 million viewers was enough to make it the most-watched program on the slot, but it was the only program on CBS not to reach 2.0 (1.8) Not sure next season The Ex List will do much better though, cause it looks awful, but we’ll see.

(S03E21-E22) Another NBC comedy, another season finale, and another special one-hour long episode ! This year will definitely stand out in the life of our good friend Earl, because, well, what a mess it’s been! Earl’s life has never been very “normal” anyways : before we used to follow him week after week he used to steal for a living, then Karma came into his life and he made the list.
He wasn’t doing bad things anymore, but that doesn’t mean it was the usual things you usually do in your life. But this year, he started being locked up, and had to stay behind bars for a while before getting trapped in a coma, and finally ending up in yet another marriage. That was clearly a pretty odd year for Earl, and a quite messy one let’s be honest.

* Tonight, nothing but finale on CBS. Also, if you’re like me, your DVR might be filled with some as well…
* At 8.00 Ghost Whisperer ends its season
* Followed at 9.00 by Moonlight. There won’t be no future on The CW or elsewhere, so in fact this is a series finale…
* And finally at 10.00 it’s the season finale for Numb3rs : we’re saying goodbye to Megan.

During their upfronts, Fox announced the new series that would be added to their schedule, including the two most-awaited new series of the season : J.J. Abrams’ Fringe and Joss Whedon’s Dollhouse. Those two shows are the ones I’m most excited about, and they both are sci-fi shows.
Sure, many many shows are going sci-fi next season it seems, but this is Fox we’re talking about here, and sci-fi on Fox often dies rapidly. Which is why I get a little worried when I hear that those two shows will be presented in what Fox calls the “Remote-Free TV”.
What is that ? Simply less commercials. In the words of Fox Entertainment Chairman Peter Liguori, “It’s a simple concept and potentially revolutionary. We’re going to have less commercials, less promotional time, and less reason for viewers to use the remote. We’re going to redefine the viewing experience.”

(S04E12) So here we go again: a new episode of Lost. This season has been nothing but fantastic, and while last season finale was a marvelous mind-blowing moment of television that raised everyone’s expectations and hopes up, I’m confident in saying that, so far, this season has still managed to challenge every fan’s expectations and blow their minds, more than once, delivering what seems to be the best season of the show so far.
But it’s not over yet, there’s still a little more to find out, or possibly, a lot more. A new episode, but this one is special. It’s the first part of the season finale, and we’ll have time to watch it over & over again as the second and final part won’t air until May 29, in two weeks. So you could have thought that it might not be a fully-featured episode, not an action-packed one, but one more putting pieces in place. And in a way, it was, a little.
But the engine started, pieces are already in motion, some things are happening, and there’s no way to stop them now…

Last night was all about finales, and the winner was clearly NBC. I mean, of course only two networks passed the 10 million viewers, CBS and ABC, and of course CBS was winner in total viewers while ABC won in the demo, hands down. But NBC had a pretty good night and was able to come second on the demo, beating CBS. Good night, for sure.
At 8.00 there was no Survivor last night, but a repeat of CSI instead. So ABC took the lead with a new Ugly Betty and half a million more viewers than a week ago (8.5 million). Then came Fox’s game, then the repeat of CSI (7.8 million), and only then was the season finale of My Name Is Earl on NBC, with 7.1 million viewers. But don’t be fooled, My Name Is Earl scored a 3.0 on the demo and was the winner there at that time !

(S03E16) Another season finale coming right up! But this one is different, because of a deal. For months and months now, this season we knew that Dean was going to die and go to Hell, where he’ll be turned into a demon. He made a deal, he sold his soul, and according to what everyone they could find, there was no way out. Then last week, we learn that Bella had a deal of her own, with the same demon, Lilith.
She tried to get out of it, but couldn’t. One last thing she told Dean before dying, was that Lilith own both their deals, and that there was a way out after all : kill the bitch! Of course she’s not your typical demon next door, and that may not be as easy of a job as it sounds. And now, time’s up, only a few hours left before Dean goes to Hell… begins the season finale!
