So there are a few shows I review over here, but I actually watch even more than that. One of the shows I’ve been watching ever since it started and I still really enjoy is no other than Bones. It’s a really fun show, some pretty good characters and interactions between them (except for Sweets, he just annoys me), I really like it. A lot.
Last night it was the season finale, coming in after last week we saw Booth getting shot as he was protecting Bones, who then just shot the killer, some crazy woman. So of course I wanted to see how it would go from there, and how that season would end. Little did I know that I would end up hating the show, or at least this episode and their writers…

(S01E18) Well well well… unlike most freshmen, Gossip Girl did had the opportunity to add new episodes to their first season once the strike was over, which was probably the best choice given how I’m sure many newcomers have already slipped away from the minds of many, and the summer isn’t gonna be any help. Anyways, they could add new episodes, and I think it’s fair to say that it almost feels like the writers didn’t change their plan.
They were going to have a few episodes less, well, so be it! Things would just have to go faster then, and for the past few weeks it seems that this is exactly what happened. So many things going on, all happening so fast, non stop, and you know what ? I think it’s good. You can’t be bored with this show, because even if you were not to like a plot, you simply wouldn’t have time to be bored, there’s too much going on all the time.

In Series: Gossip Girl Season 1

Well, as you could have expected it, Fox had a really good night, with two season finale of two great shows : Bones and demo-winner House. The total numbers overnight per network, both in viewers and on the demo, are a bit weird (numbers from Marc Berman’s report are apparently wrong, other estimates have been used here) but there’s no question that Fox took the demo, thanks to the good doctor.
At 8.00 it was quite a few finale all at once, and in the end the one who suffered were CBS’ comedies. Of course, facing Dancing With The Stars and the 18.8 million viewers (most-watched program of the night) and Bones and the 10.2 million of fans horrified over that awful finale (I’ll probably post later about that…), it wasn’t easy.

(S04E16) Another series ends its season, but this time it started one week ago. Last week we had the first part of this season finale, and it was a very special episode. While usually House is all about the medical mystery - well, when it comes to mystery at least - last week everything medical took a step down as we dived into the mysteries of memory.
Because there was a bus crash, and House had seen a symptom before the crash, he knew someone was sick, someone was dying, but couldn’t remember anything else further than that. So the biggest mystery had become House’s memory, and how to have it revealed who was dying. By the end of the episode we knew, and, sadly for Wilson, it was no other than Amber, once known as Cutthroat Bitch.

(S03E20) Okay, season finale for How I Met Your Mother. It’s been really hard to get there, as some idiots at CBS seem not to think high of this little gem and probably because of them we had to suffer through not one, but two awful guest from Britney Spears. It was a mess, especially the second time which still pains me when I think about it, which is why I chose not to, but finally we got there : there will be a fourth season !
Thank God they came to their senses, because I don’t think I could have dealt without knowing I’d see the whole gang next season. A gang that, lately, wasn’t really itself. Barney was stuck with crazy traincreck he couldn’t escape, and Ted was somehow acting as if he had just erased Barney from his memory. I know that he will always deny he was his best friend, but really, how do you do that ?

(S01E17) Here we go with the first season finale of the night, and the one sitcom from CBS’ comedy night that, at first and based on its premise, I didn’t really expect to enjoy, but thanks to some good jokes and a wonderful performance from Jim Parsons (Sheldon), I had no choice but to fall for. This show was a very nice surprise for me this season, and I’m pretty happy that it got renewed.
As I just hinted before, there is one of the character that most definitely stands above the rest of them all, that always when in the room will steal the scene, and that, more often than you’d think, he’s the reason the show actually is funny. Which is why most of the times, episodes are either about Sheldon, or find something to make him a central character, one way or another.

Last Sunday was a Sunday of finale, reruns, and Country Music. And the winner is… the housewives ! The two-hour finale put ABC on top of the night, winner in total viewers as well as on the demo, where it was way ahead of any competition.
At 8.00 CBS actually had the lead with the Academy of Country Music Awards and 11.4 million viewers, only 200 000 more viewers than for Extreme Makeover, which did much better on the demo (3.8 vs 2.7) For their season finale The Simpsons did pretty much as last week, with 6.1 million viewers and 2.9 on the demo. King Of The Hill had a little bump, to 5.4 million viewers and 2.6 on the demo.

I’ve already posted a preview for Fringe, the other show I can’t wait to see, and now we continue with Joss Whedon’s Dollhouse, the project he came up with for Eliza Dushku, so that they could work together again. And it sure sounds like a very nice one, I have to say.
Sadly we’ll have to wait a little longer for this one, since Fox are keeping it for mid-season. But while January 2009 is still far away, that doesn’t mean we can’t get excited already, so here we go with promo pictures, trailers and sneak peek as well, all after the jump !
