* I’m not sure what’s Fox agenda, are they just trying to get ride of the episodes of Unhitched they got left before moving to other things, or ?
* Anyways, First let’s start at 8.00, on The CW, with a new Everybody Hates Chris followed at 8.30 by a new Aliens In America
* And at 8.30 on Fox comes a new Unhitched. After that there’s a rerun (of Family Guy), but stay around cause at 9.30 comes a second episode of Unhitched ! And really, this show still isn’t great, but it is funny and has potential !
* Apart from that, there’s some new Dirt that can be found at 10.00 on FX

I still haven’t had a chance to watch In Treatment, but since there are no new episodes this Monday and Tuesday, I’ll just watch Sophie’s last session then. So at least I’ll have this over you guys, I get to watch to sessions of Sophie this week !
Meanwhile this week-end I did watch a couple of “comedies”, sadly I wasn’t laughing much. Miss Guided I didn’t expect anything, after that awful pilot I was sure this show was never going to be great, and guesting little Britney Spears (whatever her name may be) isn’t a sign of anything good. Jesus I can’t believe that actual Britney found her way into the great sitcom that is How I Met Your Mother, CBS better announce its renewal very soon !
Anyways, let’s start with Jezebel James…

Friday the night won owned by CBS, thanks to some Basketball. The number aren’t that impressive, but I guess it might be because many people get together or to go bars, and Nielsens doesn’t count that. As such they only report 8.3 million viewers, but that’s still way better than the closest competition (NBC with 5.9 million) and the it still rules on the demo.
Last week no one got a 2.0 and this time it was the same, except CBS with a 3.1

By fred | March 21, 2008

* Not much on tonight. Soon, we’ll have Canterbury’s Law on Fridays as well, not sure that will make things any better though…
* For tonight, it starts at 8.30 with a new episode of The Return Of Jezebel James. Hopefully it’ll get better, but I doubt they’ll get ride of things like the laugh tracks, sadly…
* At 9.30 on HBO comes a new In Treatment, to conclude this last full week. Next week starts on Wednesday, no episodes on Monday and Tuesday, and will be the last week of the season.

Shows: In Treatment, The Return Of Jezebel James

(S01E08) Once again after Lost, it was time for another hour with Eli Stone. In his short existence there are things this show has always been able to do, like get me really annoyed and filled with mind with ideas of murders whenever I see Maggie. Or, keep having everything and and everyone evolve, the show kept getting better & better episode after episode, and that is something you have to appreciate.
It hasn’t had fantastic ratings, but it’s not been doing terrible either, and maybe now that Lost is gone more people might actually try to watch it, instead of watching Lost all over again. I mean, I would really like it if this show could be renewed for a second season, it’s turning to be one very nice show that I enjoyed tuning in to every week. And to be honest, though still featured in this episode, I think I was slightly less annoyed with the character of Maggie than I have been with previous episodes.

In Series: Eli Stone Season 1

After last episode on Tuesday, we all wondered what would happen to Jericho, and next week’s episode was still announced as the season finale, although at that time there hadn’t been no official decision made by CBS at to what finale to air : the one with a cliffhanger, for a third season, or the series finale.
Given the numbers that were never really good, below what the first season did and almost constantly going down. There wasn’t much suspense, but many fans still hoped for a renewal. Sadly, that is not what CBS did, as they officially canceled the show:

Wow, what happened last night !? How could NBC be the most-watched network of the night ? Did they have some pretty amazing and heavily watched program on ? Well… yes, NBC did better than the past weeks on Thursday nights for a while now, with 8.6 million people. Also turns out that last night, that was enough to be the most-watched program of the night.
At 8.00 NBC won the slot with Deal Or No Deal, while Fox already lost 2 million viewers since last week for their game. On ABC the new series Miss Guided did a little better than the usual rerun of Lost, but Miss Guided was no rerun, it was the second & third episodes. In other words, it might move to Fridays very soon…

Shows: Eli Stone, Lipstick Jungle, Lost, Miss Guided, Reaper, Smallville

(S04E08) This time this is it, the last episode completed before the strike, and the last one we’ll get for a while. Five more episodes will be added this season, starting April 24 at 10.00, and I have to say that Thank God the strike ended when it did, because as a season finale this would have not really been the best. As a mid-season finale, I think it can work. Not that we have a choice anyway.
So last week I said this episode was “weak”, and I realized this was (probably) uncalled for. But I still think that it wasn’t at the same level of the other episodes this season had offered us, that it was disappointing and also, at times, maybe even a little boring. It wasn’t really bad, but it wasn’t really good either. This week was quite different though, so let’s go at it.

(S01E12) Once again let’s start with Reaper. It’s really cool to have this little show back on, and I have to say it’s also pretty good to see nothing’s changed, the show is still as good and funny as it used to. That said, things are evolving for Som, Sock and Ben. Not that it’s actually really new, because this show has always been able, from the start, to evolve.
It never got stuck inside a real straight formula that had to be applied for each episodes, and slowly each character has to evolve one way or another, and that didn’t change this time.

Shows: Reaper
In Series: Reaper Season 1
By fred | March 20, 2008

* This is the night. The last episode completed before the strike is coming…
* First, on ABC at 8.00 comes not one but two episodes in a row of new sitcom Miss Guided. It might be nice if the show was good, or funny, but it’s neither.
* Meanwhile on The CW there’s a new Smallville
* Then at 9.00 it is time for the last episode of Lost that was completed before the strike, the last one we’ll get to see in a while, but don’t worry this is only a “mid-season finale”, new episodes are being worked on as we speak, five of them, and they’ll be back on the air (one hour later) starting April 24. But let’s focus on tonight, and hope that this episode will be closer to the first episodes of the season - which were fantastic - than to the most recent ones…
* Also at 9.00 but on The CW comes a new Reaper. It’s a really cool show, and it needs to be watched more if you want it to have a second season (I do!)
* On HBO at 9.30 comes a new In Treatment. Meanwhile, I’m pissed because things went wrong and I missed Sophie’s session from last night! I hope to see it soon, though…
* And at 10.00 comes a new Eli Stone on ABC. A show that is quite fun and got much better than what it was when it started. Not every show can improve with time, but this one did, almost every episode it did, and it’s starting to look very nice now. If you haven’t, just try it, you might be surprised…
* And finally on NBC there’s the season finale of Lipstick Jungle. Verdict: Cashmere Mafia was pretty bad, and though Lipstick may not have been as bad as I first envisioned, it wasn’t really better than ABC’s take…
