Breaking Bad: Cat’s in the Bag…

Breaking Bad(S01E02) Well, I don’t know about you but I myself only watched the pilot of this new show yesterday. It’s been a week since it aired, but I somehow manager not to sit & watch it before then. I don’t really regret it, cause I now had to wait close to nothing before I could get to see this second episode, which is a pretty neat thing because as you know if you read my review of the pilot, I love the show!

I said plenty of good things about it, and I meant each and everyone of them. I also said that I didn’t really know where the show would go for now. After the pilot ended, it was obvious that things weren’t really all good for White, not that they were all bad either, well it could be worse, but what would actually happen was some mystery to me, but I had a strong feeling that I wouldn’t be disappointed by whatever was coming.

Lost - The Synchronizing

LostNow that Jack made that call, we’re all concern about what will happen next, are more people coming to the Island, and where/when are they coming from, and who the hell are they, and other related questions.

But let’s rewind a little, do you remember how our Losties came to the Island ? Of course you do, that Oceanic Flight 815 crash is not easy to forget, but just in case here a very well made video that will let you relive the events leading up to the infamous crash and see what happened both on the ground and in the air at the same time from multiple angles.

I had already seen another video like that, but I think this one is even better. Note that I’m not saying it’s more accurate, that I don’t know, but it sure looks good!

SAG AwardsSo last night were hold The 14th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards, and it was the real deal, with all and everyone showing up at their most beautiful, there was no picket lines or anything like that, it was a real party to take a break and enjoy. Did you watch ?

Honestly, I did not. I’m not sure why, it was probably great, but I didn’t really bother, nor do I really miss it. Shame on me, I guess. Anyways, some lovely people were there, some won, others didn’t, and for what I can read not so many of them did mention the whole strike thing. So let’s send our love and thanks to the always amazing Tina Fey, Jenna Fischer as well as Julie Christie who did mention it.

Strike Update : How will you favorite shows be affected ?

AddThis Social Bookmark ButtonBy fred | January 28, 2008

Let’s start this week with an update of our famous grid of how the strike affects your favorite series. As you’ll see, many series are now completely MIA, and quite a lot only have very few episodes before leaving us as well… Let’s hope that strike gets resolved soon, because even if it does we’re still in for weeks of nothing!

So again you will have a first chart with as many series as I could get info about, and for each of them how many episodes already aired, how many should be done and waiting in the can (written & produced), and then what we all care about, how many are left - as of today, 01/28/08. I’ve also added how many episodes had been ordered.

Tonight On TV: Shark season finale, The Simpsons, American Dad, The Wire, Breaking Bad!

Tonight On TV

* If you like Shark, I’d like to know why. Really, the show ain’t good. But it’s still on, and it will air its last completed episode today on CBS at 8.00 No, that’s no mistake, it is an unusual slot for the show, but that’s how it goes today.

* At the same time on Fox there’s a new episode of The Simpsons

* At 9.00 HBO has a new episode of the critically acclaimed series The Wire

* Half an hour later Fox is back to new episodes, this time with a new American Dad!

* And finally at 10.00 comes the second episode of AMC’s new series, Breaking Bad. I really liked the pilot, can’t wait for this new episode!

And while we’re on the subject, Breaking Bad premiered last Sunday and did pretty well, grabbing 1.4 million viewers - which is pretty much the same as Mad Men did for its premiere (1.6 million), the other new AMC series - which was very well received by critics.

DVR Cleaning: Breaking Bad: Pilot

Breaking Bad(S01E01) Yep, so last week to the day (pretty much) premiered on AMC this new show called Breaking Bad, and I wanted to give it a try because it looks like it could be a good one. I know AMC it trying to get up there and have shows that can compete without shame against those of Showtime or FX, and while I personally didn’t enjoy Mad Men, which had been praised by so many, I wouldn’t call that show awful either, it wasn’t Heroes or Private Practice.

So, back on Breaking Bad. I’m sure most of you have seen it by now, and if you haven’t I have only one thing to say to you : go watch it now !! Really, you need to watch it quick because tonight comes the second episode, and I am pretty happy actually that I don’t have to wait one week before I get to see more of it, because I really want to find out what will happen next !

Lost : What Will Happen Next?

Because Heroes isn’t the only show that comes with its action figures, and because fans of Lost are all dying to see what will happen next, some have decided to use the action figures and make their own attempt at telling the destiny of our favorite Losties…

It may not be accurate, but it is funny :

100 Reasons To Watch Jericho

AddThis Social Bookmark ButtonBy fred | January 27, 2008

100 Reasons to watch JerichoThere’s a war going on people. Yes, I’m talking about Jericho, but no, I’m not talking about its plot. I mean there are two series coming back very soon, one on ABC, and one on CBS. Obviously everyone is getting pretty excited about Lost, even though it’s only for half a season that the show will come back, and the great 8:15 video was a nice promo move by ABC.

So in the same idea, it’s now CBS turn to do a nice viral video in order to create a buzz about their show, Jericho. And you know that, it’s a pretty good video. I don’t know if it’s any help to get what the show is all about for people who never watched it, but it’s definitely pretty funny ! You have to watch it :

Friday’s Numbers

AddThis Social Bookmark ButtonBy fred | January 26, 2008

Last night was a pretty slow night. Of course, it was a Friday, and then there was a shitload of reruns everywhere. That’s not really something that will get people to watch TV… CBS won the night in total viewers, but was down to the third place on the 18-49 demo, beaten by Fox and NBC, winner of the night and second in total viewers.

At 9.00 CBS won with Garth Brooks Live with 8.2 million viewers, although Moonlight usually does better both in total viewers and on the 18-49 demo. Second was a rerun of House on Fox with 7.6 million viewers, and then came Friday Night Lights a little below with 5.4 million viewers, same numbers as usual for the show.

Knight Rider Promo: Yeah, well, it looks bad…

AddThis Social Bookmark ButtonBy fred | January 26, 2008

You probably know by now that NBC is planning the return of Knight Rider very soon. First, as a made-for-TV movie, February 17 at 9.00, and then - in case of success - a TV series could follow.

Well, ok so here’s a new little teaser for the movie :

I don’t know about you, but it looks really lame to me. Really, really bad. And men do that new KITT looks awfully bad or what !!?
