What the AMPTP are proposing…
By fred | December 7, 2007
Well folk, networks are announcing their schedule for the next two or three months, they’re considering bringing cable shows on their schedule in order to get fresh new content - or doing so already - all things that don’t really tend to say they’re optimistic about the strike.
In fact, things seems to be quite the opposite. Looks like producers are only pretending to deal with WGA and want to look good by making proposals and calling themselves optimistic, but the truth is that they’re apparently hoping to win by dividing, opening talks with the DGA ahead of next spring’s contract expiration.
Also, it’s been reported that they hired some big PR guns, who are expert when it comes down to crisis management, and the word is that they are only trying to win/waste time, pretending to be working on new proposal when they aren’t, and intend to walk out while claiming all fault to the WGA, helped by a anti-WGA PR campaign.
Want to see how bad it looks ? Read this great report and instead of getting depressed, send pencils and more importantly stop watching the big networks when all they have to offer is crappy games, reality TV, or reruns.
And if you want to know more about where the AMPTP stands and what their offer is, here’s another hilarious video that explains it all :
