You’ve probably heard of that little show that CBS canceled after making stupid decisions which resulted in an important lost of viewers and caused the show it’s slot on the schedule. Eventually, and thanks to the thousands and thousands of nuts fans sent in, CBS admitted it was their fault and decided to bring the show back this year for a second season.
Sure, it might only be a seven episodes season, but given that there’s a strike going on it might still very well be a great card for CBS, because when all shows might be out of episodes, they’ll have a full season of a show many have been waiting for, quite obviously.
And if there’s one thing Jericho fans have demonstrated the whole time it is their love and support for the show, and as we all know behind every show are its writers. So it only make sense that fans of a show, any show, support the writers. And Jericho fans made this very nice video to express their gratitude and support towards writers of their favorite show :
(S01E10) This is a show that from the start I thought had great potential, and I was pretty excited about it when I started watching. But then, episodes after episodes I lost touch with it, and the more it went the less interested I was, to eventually pass the point of no return after which I simply didn’t care anymore about it.
And that’s a shame, because it really could have been something pretty cool, and I really wished it would have happened. But the show never got there, it kept making mistakes and not doing what should have been done and doing things that didn’t made sense or definitely should not be done, what a disappointment this whole experienced will have turned out to be.
Then to make things ever worst, we got this episode. An episode that was actually pretty good !
(S01E10) So you know how last week I said I didn’t really like the show, (or was it how I really didn’t like it?), and given that cutie Rachel Bilson was out I wouldn’t watch it no more. Well, funny thing happened: I watched it. Yeah, I don’t know what happened, habit I guess, or something, who cares the point is, I just watched this week’s episode.
I guess there’s those shows you watch but maybe don’t admit it, kind of a guilty pleasure, like Gossip Girl for instance. A show which, by the way, got better after a while I guess. It’s still not that great, but better than what I feared it would be after the first episodes. And you also have those shows you hate, but still watch them every week, it’s like you can’t help it. Maybe that’s what Chuck became for me, I don’t know, I thought that was Heroes.
ABC thought they had it good when the night started, with their Dancing With The Stars getting all the best results of the night : 24.7 million viewers and a 6.2 on the 18-49 demo. And while the rest of the night wasn’t as good as that, it still was mostly good and they did win the night in the end on both ends.
Still, the not funny yet popular Samantha Who? moved to its new timeslot last night and lost about 3 million viewers on the way, and over 12 million viewers from its lead-in ! That gives as many people watching it (12.6 million) than leaving ABC. Also, it got beaten by CBS’ sitcom Two And A Half Men with 15.3 million viewers, which got a better score amongst the adults 18-49 as well (5.0 vs 4.1)
Next week Samantha will not having Dancing as strong lead-in, and will face Heroes season finale, so they could loose the second place. This week, Heroes wasn’t that far down with 11.9 million viewers (that’s over 1 million more than last week), and a strong 5.2 on the 18-49 demo.
(S02E10) Okay people, so I’ve said I would keep watching this show till the end of the show, which is closer than one may think, and I will. And while everyone was already jumping ahead and claiming that Heroes was back to being great after the past few episodes, I was never there. I mean sure, it wasn’t as bad as it used to be, especially when this season started - boy was that bad!
But still, plenty of stuff were wrong, I mean look at that “Four Months Ago” episode, what was that ? Like we cared about those stupid twins and how they’ve always been annoying and useless and deserved to die, in a slow and painful way.
(S03E10) Last week’s episode was number nine, and it was important because that number, when it comes to HIMYM episode, have a significance. Last year, it was the Slapbet. This year, it was Slapsgiving. Now the question is, what will it be next year ? It better involve another slap !
But that was no reason to expect anything different from that show, we expect it to be funny, and awesome, just because we do so every week, I mean this is the Barney showHow I Met Your Mother after all !
This episode was constructed with two main stories, one leading to the other. The first one involved the whole gang, while the second one was a little more restricted party. A party I’m sure you guys would have loved too to be a part of, because it was awesome !
Well, Sunday night things didn’t happen as expected, because of football. Not only did it help NBC win the night, but it also had CBS to push everything back as things lasted over an hour longer than planned.
On ABC things were pretty much the same as usual for both Desperate Housewives (who didn’t want over 20 million, with “only” 18.5 million viewers) and Brothers & Sisters with 12.5 million. Good results, but of course both got beaten by NBC and their Sunday Football Night (19.1 million viewers, 7.5 on the 18-49 demo).
This is a message, or more a question, to all fans of the Showtime’s hit drama Dexter. This is something I have really been wondering about for a few days now, and so I have to ask, because it really got me thinking. So, Dexter is a show about Dexter (!), a nice guy it seems at first. A guy who’s a cop by day, and a serial killer by night - basically.
Now when I first heard about such a show, I will not lie I was pretty excited. I really wanted to see how it would go, because I think after so many years of good guys on TV and series glorifying the good cops always doing the right thing because, well, it’s the right thing to do… not that I don’t enjoy a good CSI or Law & Order: SVU from time to time, but we need more realistic shows, and more shows and bad guys, if you ask me.
So pretty obviously Dexter looked like the kind of guy I would love to meet every week, you know, as long as he stays on the other side of the screen of course.
