What’s on next, tomorrow, next month, …

I feel like I want to give an award to one of the main networks, but an award that the network should not be willing to win. This award would be given by us, viewers, to the network ruining our TV experience the most. Now let’s put some pretty clear rules about this, I am not talking about the quality of the series they air or anything like that, every network have good series and bad ones, and I personally do watch and enjoy series on all of the big networks.
This award should be given to that network we hate the most, because whenever we’re watching one of their show it seems they’re trying to do their best to really ruin our experience of the show, by distracting us and showing those annoying invasive ads eating sometimes as much as half the screen, letting us know about those things we absolutely don’t care about.
Like for instance what show will be next, what’s on tomorrow, or what new crap premieres two weeks from now, all and any of that. There is nothing more annoying to me, when I’m watching a show, that having one of those ads bother me to give me useless information I couldn’t possibly be interested at this point, since I am actually trying to watch what’s currently airing.
What are we supposed to do, stop watching the current show we intended and actually wanted to watch, and go get a pencil and take notes instead ?
This should be a message to all network executives out there, that those are annoying, they get us viewers angry and if they are to ever accomplish anything is to make us to want not watch whatever is disrupting our experience with shows we do love, and try to enjoy at a given moment. As it was said before me, “we don’t care about the next show, we’re watching this show!!”
By the way, when I watch something I don’t want to know what’s next, whenever next could be, but I also don’t need to be reminded what I’m watching now. I know what I’m watching now. I really do, proof is : I’m trying to watch it, if only you would let me do so and stop distracting me with those stupid ads.
I think network execs have to go back and watch the brilliant and hilarious rant made during the last Emmy ceremony by the great comedian Lewis Black. Cause obviously some of them either missed it, or as stupid as they are thought it was nothing but a joke. It was not, absolutely not. It was dead-on, it was hilarious yet reflected the exact feeling all TV viewers, fans and lovers share.
I don’t know about you guys, but at the moment I’m pretty sure the network I hate the most, and would give such an award for ruining my TV experience and enjoyment the most, would be to NBC. It’s like they’re trying to have me go away or something.
NBC is obviously run by a bunch of retarded morons who believes that the more they can fill the screen with ads the better.
