Strike : How will you favorite shows be affected ?

By fred | November 5, 2007

Now that the strike is in effect, the most important question - right after “when will it end?” - will be to find out how our favorite shows will be affected by this.

Based on different sources, I compiled for you this little summary of things as of now (11/05/07), with the last episode aired (Current), the last one expected to be able to air should the strike last too long (Last), and the total episodes ordered so far (Total), since not all shows have received their full season order, given that networks are waiting to either cancel or pick-up shows due to the strike.

Strike Grid - How will you favorite shows be affected ?

* Lost : Unfortunately ABC plans on airing the first 8 episodes even if they don’t have any more, thus having us waiting longer for nothing, since we would get an awful long break anyways. But you know, since the competition would likely be mostly MIA by then, and given that they don’t care about their series, or viewers…

* Pushing Daises : They worked hard to get up to episode nine ready to go. Want to know why ? It’s explained here.

* Cavemen : 12 out of 13 episodes, and of course has not received an order for a full season. Likely to be canceled as soon as the strike is over.

* Moonlight, Cane : (Almost) all their episodes completed, no order for a full season.

* Jericho : Will have all of its seven episodes. Did they ever intended to order more anyway ?

* 30 Rock : 9 out of 22 episodes completed, with several days of shooting for the 10th episode scheduled for this week. So they might actually go up to 10 episodes good to go…

* Journeyman : All of its 13 episodes; yet has not received a full season order.

* Heroes : They shot an alternate ending for 11th that could be used as season finale.

* Prison Break : Ready to use their half-season cliffhanger as season finale.

* Psych : The last 7 episodes should be good, thus getting the show to end its 16 episodes second season as expected.

* Grey’s Anatomy : Episode 11 should end on a cliffhanger, one that might be used as a season finale if needed…
