House: Guardian Angels

House(S04E04) I don’t know how you guys feel about the new series so far, but while there are a few I really like, I haven’t found one series I’m really looking forward to each week. You know, that one series you’re counting down the days to the next episode, because each and everyone of them is just so awesome you really can’t wait.

So far I haven’t found that new series that will get me that way. But I wan live with that, because that doesn’t mean I’ve got no series to feel that way for. And while I can’t wait to see what the writers & producers of Lost have in store for us, I don’t even know if that show will get me more excited that House does. I really think this is the greatest show on TV, hands down.

I have fully enjoyed every single episode and I really am counting down the days until my next fix.

Prison Break: Interference

Prison Break(S03E05) I used to really love this show. I really did. And I don’t care what some people say, I really liked the second season as well. I mean sure, the show wasn’t meant to be taken seriously, you had to close your eyes on a few plots and means, but it was still pretty good and very entertaining.

I know many were troubled by the second season not being set within a prison, but I really felt like writers had been able to keep the same intensity, tension and rhythm into that season that they had done in the first.

Maybe there were no more guards and cells to be locked in, but the pressure was still there, and something was still happening every instant. And this is exactly what’s missing this year - amongst the many problems this season has.

Heroes: Fight Or Flight

Heroes(S02E05) I used to like Heroes. It was last year, the first season. I never thought it was the awesome show many claimed all over it was, but it was a really good show fore sure, and I pretty much enjoyed every episode all along.

Until that terrible day, when I watch the season finale. Not only was that episode the worst piece of shit ever, but it also had that retroactive effect that made me disliked the whole season, and show, all at once.

And so far this second season is following that path.

Journeyman: The Legend of Dylan McClean

Journeyman(S01E05) I am not really sure how I feel about this one. Not the episode, but the whole show. It’s not that it’s bad, because obviously it isn’t, but it’s not that good either. And there are so many flaws and problems that it makes it really hard for me to ignore them and enjoy each episode.

And to be fair, they’re not really helping. I mean once again we had an episode that was not bad, nor disappointing, but because they don’t even seem to try to want to fix any of the issues - some pretty major - going on with the show, I’m forced to say that I don’t enjoy it.

Prison Break is over, welcome Cherry Hill !

Wow. This is too good to be true. And by “good” I obviously mean everything that stands in the direct opposite, of good. I can’t believe it… Okay so as recently as a couple of days ago I explained how Fox was ruining Prison Break, and I was already quite astonished by the resource those network execs morons had.

But they did it again, I have to admit, I did not see that one coming. Bless them, when it comes to shitty ideas, those guys know their shit.

So here’s the latest one : Fox is now thinking of creating a spin-off, that would basically consist of a female version of Prison Break!

How I Met Your Mother: How I Met Everyone Else

How I Met Your Mother(S03E05) There is something I really don’t understand with this show. Why in God’s name isn’t it more popular ?? I mean I see people talking and watching sitcoms like The Big Bang Theory, and while I’ve nothing against it, it’s definitely filled with more real/accurate nerds or geeks than Chuck will ever be, in so many ways, and yes on occasion it is funny enough to make you laugh.

But honestly, it doesn’t compete with Barney and his crew, not even close. How I Met Your Mother is one of the best, funniest sitcoms on TV right now, it should be up there with The Office or 30 Rock, maybe CBS should consider move it to Thursdays, maybe that’s why it doesn’t work. Because everything the show does, it does it right.

Carpoolers stays around for a bit…

AddThis Social Bookmark ButtonBy fred | October 23, 2007

After picking up Pushing Daisies for a full season order, word is that ABC also ordered 3 more episodes of Carpoolers. This one isn’t a full season order, but it still brings the show to a 12 episode order. Is it a real vote for the show, or just a reaction to the upcoming strike threatening more and more ?

I would guess the later, because really the show ain’t that good, or funny. Which is never good for a sitcom!

I’m still watching though, because as along as they keep things different, and carpooling, it actually is not so bad. Though it’s never really great, or (that) funny. So maybe ABC and I should let go after all… have you?

Pushing Daisies gets full season order!

AddThis Social Bookmark ButtonBy fred | October 23, 2007

Pushing DaisiesThat’s right, finally a full season order had been made for a good series! Yaay! According to ThePieMaker.com (and confirmed by other sources as well) ABC has just ordered 9 more episodes of their “forensic fairy tale” Pushing Daisies, upgrading it to a full season of 22 episodes !

This is obviously a great news, as the show is a pretty good one, although I’m far from being as enthusiastic as others. But hearing this news got me thinking about this show, and the more I do so, the more I realize how I’m not too fund of some of the different choices they made.

Fox wants the head of Prison Break!

AddThis Social Bookmark ButtonBy fred | October 22, 2007

No, not that head.

Prison BreakWhile I suspect pretty much no one is excited about the upcoming episode of Prison Break, I just felt like expressing a few thoughts. I came to realize that Fox probably wants to ruin the show. It’s not new that when Fox put their hands on a great series, they ruin it or cancel it before too many people could embrace it.

But let’s took a look at how things went down, with Prison Break:

- First season was brilliant. I don’t care what the Emmy can say, we all know they’re stupid and don’t even watch TV anyways. First season was great!

- Then came the second season. No I don’t know how you feel, I’ve heard many saying it “sucked”, and I disagree. Sure, it had lots of inconsistency and plots that relied on pretty unrealistic/unbelievable things, but that ain’t really new. And honestly, who cares ?

Viva Laughlin is gone! What is Viva Laughlin?

AddThis Social Bookmark ButtonBy fred | October 22, 2007

Yaay! Stand up, clap your hands, do a little dance and shake your ass : Viva Laughlin has just been canceled after only two episodes!

I don’t know why everyone is talking about it, I mean I’m pretty sure no one heard of that show before, but there you go. And no, it wasn’t on Fox, it was CBS. Fox would have never let the second episode aired, silly!
