I am not really a fan of the show, even though it’s better than when it first started - where it was really bad - but it looks like many people are, since last week’s episode got a pretty 4.4 million viewers! (Well, according to those old & inaccurate ways of calculating the numbers at least…)
Anyways, didn’t took long to USA Network to enjoy the good news and to order a second season of Burn Notice to make sure more good news are on their way!
So if you’re fan of the show, be happy : Michael isn’t leaving Miami anytime soon.

Fox has decided to really commit to its latest trend, the “make everything green” way. They’ve already announced that wanted their shows to try and to implement green plots into their episodes. This won’t always be easy, starting with hit 24, but they’re really invested into it and might incorporate global-warming issue on the show.
But it’s not all about the look, and producers even promised environmentally-friendly measures on set to help curb climate change. They intend to try and become the first television production ever to save enough energy and reduce enough carbon emissions over the course of a season to render its entire season finale “carbon neutral”.
Among the new initiatives are an end to diesel generators in the studio and use low-emission hybrid vehicles to transport crew.
Not stopping there, Fox are willing to have some green-themed Emmy Awards, so much they wanted to replace the classic red carpet by a… green carpet!
But the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences didn’t agree on that, stating they considered the traditional red carpet an iconic part of its brand. Also, some sponsors weren’t too happy with the new color.
So no big flashy green carpet for the Emmy, still Fox keep on using hybrid vehicles for event transportation and recycled materials, as well as reducing carbon emissions from the production.
Despite being denied a green carpet, Fox still convinced the Academy to have a green carpet, as in ecologically-friendly : the carpet will be made from recycled material and donated to a school or library after the event. That’s not the green you see on TV, but that’s the one that actually counts in the fight against global warming, so that’s a win.

(S04E08) So we continue with another episode that doesn’t involve a new “extra crispies”, or even a new 4400, but deals with the main story of the show. Unlike previous ones the lack of introduction of new character wasn’t the only difference : this episode could feel as one where “not much” happened, overall.
But don’t let appearance fool you, that episode dealt was dead on on the main plot of the show, and made things moved. It might not have occurred during this episode itself, but it was far from a “filler” episode.

(S01E03) After watching the two-episodes premiere of this new mini-series, it was pretty obvious that, despite some flaws, The Kill Point was a very promising show I was really enjoying.
Well, I just watched the third episode, and I’m still as enthusiastic as I was. It is still a great show. Doesn’t mean it is perfect or that I’m pleased with everything that happens, but overall the show still holds it pretty strong and delivers a good hour of television.
As it was highly predictable, this episode slowed down its flow of actions. But now that they’re stuck in the bank trying to figure out how to escape, with cops all over trying to figure out how to catch them, the time for the gunshots and rushing into actions is over, for now at least.

For some reason, drama-soap Grey’s Anatomy is a huge hit, so much that this season fans will even have twice as much of it, kind of, with the first season of its spin-off Private Practice.
Not enough? You still want more of it? Well, sadly it could happen… as CBS just gave a green light to Grey’s Anatomy executive producer Mark Gordon to work on yet another hour-long medical drama.
Kasi Lemmons is said to direct, write and produce the pilot.
It will follow the life of a Bellevue psychiatric neurologist who also serves as a crisis manager. And of course, while at work he’s the cool force that calm things down and keeps everything harmonized, at home he’s out of it and has a pretty disordered chaotic situation.
Sounds so new I had to read it twice to make sure…
I wonder if they’re trying to create another franchise, like CSI and Law & Order, but with medical soaps dramas this time…

As hinted on the very last scene on Heroes last season finale, Hiro will be back on the past, the time of samurai where he’ll meet legendary samurai Takezo Kensei played by David Anders.
Yes, the legendary samurai is, oddly, not from there, but a blond Caucasian.
When hired, it was for a recurring role with a possibility to become regular. And even before the new season starts the promotion to series regular has already been done! That’s one more full addition to the show. That’s not all!

It’s been revealed a few weeks ago that Laura Vandervoort was going to be the new Supergirl on The CW’s hit show Smallville.
Since then the pretty Canadian actress has started shooting, and while being nervous at first the cast & crew have been great to her, and she’s now part of the family, enjoying the whole thing as well. “It’s been incredible, that’s for sure.“, she said. “Everyone’s been really comforting.”

Well, this might be going a little too far. But in a recent interview creator Jenji Kohan was asked about the first three episodes of the upcoming season and the fact that they were leaked onto numerous torrent sites.
“Revenue aside, I don’t expect to get rich on Weeds I’m excited it’s out there. Showtime is great, but it does have a limited audience. If I had my druthers, the whole thing would be available right now.”
Really, is awesome is that answer!? Unlike those morons network execs who’d have started to complain how they’ll loose some of their millions and go on to rant with a lot of BS, then likely threaten of legal actions to be taken against everyone involved, or downloading, or just talking about it, instead of that crap that MPAA, RIAA and a-like craps would start shooting at everyone, calling TV fans criminal and wanting to send them to jail, Kohan had the most intelligent answer ever on the subject.
Kohan and Showtime actually seem to get it : episodes made available online do not hurt the show, or the network, au contraire. They help bringing in new fans, they help build up the buzz about the show, they simply help make the show more successful in the end.
Be sure do catch the third season of Weeds, premiering next week on Monday, August 13 at 10pm.

The news came directly from Futurama creators Matt Groening and David X. Cohen at the series’ Comic-Con panel : the beloved animation comedy will be returning as a feature-length direct-to-DVD high definition film, due to be released on November 27th.
This will only be a start, and be followed by three additional direct-to-DVD films.

Each of those movies will also be divided into four episodes, slightly “adjusted” to fit commercial breaks, resulting in 16 episodes that will air on Comedy Central sometime in 2008.

(S02E04) As I keep watching this new season i realize something : while the show has clearly evolved from its debut, and turned into a better one, I don’t think it had improved as much as I first thought it had.
Don’t get me wrong though, this season is much better than the first one, and the show seems to keep on evolving instead of being stuck into their place as others might. But I have also been influenced by something that I’ve now realized : the second episode of this new season and its dinosaur mystery, was clearly one of a kind, and I believe the best episode of the show (yet).
