Cast Additions to October Road

October RoadMany people really dislike the show, hate it even, starting with critics who voted the show Worst of 2007 at the Critics Poll Summer 2007.

But the show must have an audience, since ABC renewed it for a second season. It’s already been reported that two characters from season one have been promoted to recurring characters, and now the show is getting fresh blood adding two brand new characters.

Bruckheimer to bring Indy on the small screen

Jerry BruckheimerWell, sort of. Nothing is done yet, this is only the beginning. But famous and successful producer Jerry Bruckheimer, behind shows such as Cold Case, Without A Trace or all of the CSI’s, is working on a new project for a one hour TV adventure drama about treasure hunters, for CBS.

The show, still unnamed, will revolve around a globetrotting team of freelance treasure hunters. The team will have for leader an ex-Navy SEAL now turned into an archaeologist.

Bruckheimer, producers of National Treasure and The Amazing Race, is teaming up with Sleeper Cell creators Cyrus Voris and Ethan Reiff on this project. Obviously they all know very well how do create great TV series and have knowledge of the genre they’re going into.

Without A Trace got itself its own Detective Mars…

AddThis Social Bookmark ButtonBy fred | August 16, 2007

It is not a new show, and there hasn’t been any kind of drama surrounding CBS hit drama Without A Trace, but that didn’t mean nothing happened there. In fact, next season of the show will see the addition of a new character, Detective Mars.

Don’t let that fool you though, this had nothing to do with Veronica Mars’ Kristen Bell. Want to find out more about who this new detective is? It’s after the jump.

Jennifer Morrison and Jesse SpencerShocking news concerning the lovely couple of House costars, who had been telling everyone for a little while now how happy they were together, and would be getting married later this year.

People report that Jennifer Morrison and Jesse Spencer have called off their engagement - only weeks before they were due to marry !

The two had actually met while both going to the Vancouver set, to shoot the pilot of Fox’s hit drama House. While at first they kept their romance a secret from their colleagues for three months, recently they had been seen together on many events, each time telling how happy they were to get married.

Californication: Pilot

Californication(S01E01) Californication marks the return of David Duchovny on TV, and if there’s something for sure it’s that watching the show you won’t see Fox Mulder any more. The show might not sound very interesting on paper, the life of a messed up, one-hit writer whose book was turned into a crappy movie, living a destructive life filled with drinking, drugs, foul language, and sex, lots of sex.
Of course he has a daughter, with an ex he’s still in love with, but it’s a bit too late for that.

No, none of this sound good. But don’t let that fool you, the show turned out to be pretty good in the end!

Weeds: Doing The Backstroke

Weeds(S03E01) It’s been a while since I last saw the show, and while the first episodes of the show have found their way online I never found the time to watch them, so I was pretty happy to finally sit and enjoy the half hour of messy craziness that is Weeds.

That said, I can’t help myself but wonder if I like the show as much as I use to. On its first season, it was a pretty awesome show with a very different setup than what is has become today. And while evolution and changes are a good thing in itself, is the new direction the show is in as pleasing as its original, I’m not sure.

The Kill Point: Visiting Hours

The Kill Point(S01E05) The more it goes, the more this show turns out to be a huge disappointment. It was introduced with a great two-hours premiere that was action packed, intense, and offered great promise for the future.

None of them actually came true, things got damn slow, and bad, and episode after episode it gets worst. Last time I ended hoping that, finally, things would actually happen during the next hour. Next hour it was, and nothing really happened, again.

The 4400: Daddy’s Little Girl

The 4400(S04E09) This was a pretty unique of The 4400, and in some ways you could see some similarities between this one and the one from last week. In some ways, or at first only, because the two episodes were not quite the same not will they have the same impact of the show, despite both dealing with the mail plot of the show while not actually being right there.

And not to spoil anything right now, I will still say that even if it did respond to a few remarks or criticisms I had formulated in the past, while last week’s episode was pretty great, this one on the other hand, was not.

Will Criminal Minds’ Gideon suffer from Patinkin’s actions ?

AddThis Social Bookmark ButtonBy fred | August 14, 2007

Jason Gideon (Mandy Patinkin)I think by now everyone heard of the drama that goes on with Criminal Minds and its star, Mandy Patinkin, who on the first day of work decided he wouldn’t be part of the show any more.

Whether it was personal issues or creative differences, the result is the same : he’s out and has been replaced even. And finding the right person for the job, one that would accept, wasn’t an easy task.

But now that it’s been done doesn’t mean everyone has forgotten the mess Patinkin created, or the quite “unpolite” way he’s done it. Actually, pretty much everyone working on the show still holds a big grudge over him, so much that it might even hurt the show….

The NineRemember a couple of weeks ago, when ABC announced that, after quickly canceling and taking The Nice off the air, they would finally air the remaining episodes. Maybe you will also remember that I had asked you NOT to watch them.

Well, you won’t have a choice after all, as ABC now announce they’re canceling the show again!
